25.01.2022 ANZAC Day tomorrow just wont be quite the same, but our music community in Tassie can still celebrate our fallen heroes together. All over Australia and New Zealand, musos will be playing the last post at the bottom of their driveways at 6am. Why not get involved, or at least light a candle, stand in your driveway at 6am and remember those who gave their all to give us our freedom. Lest We Forget. We can offer delivery to your door by a number of different methods. We can even bring your purchases to your vehicle if you can park nearby, and we will take payments over the phone using your cre...dit card too! We can offer contactless payment options instore, and have sanitiser available at our counter for our customers after using EFTPOS machines etc. We have also implemented stringent cleaning and disinfecting routines daily in the store, for your peace of mind! 23.01.2022 Learn to Play Music! Making your own music is fantastic. Its great for cognitive development, its terrific for creativity and it is a marvellous social outlet when you play with others. Tassie has heaps of excellent music teachers who are teaching in person or online to help you, and we can put you in touch them. Barratts Music can help you get into music, with reasonable prices on introductory instruments, payment plans for better instruments, and books and resources on how to play, plus we freight or deliver all over the state. We are still open, so call, message or drop in (social distancing and limited instrument testing applies), and discover the music in you!

We are thinking of our friends at Maton Guitars, who have been forced to close the factory for the time being in Melbourne, under CoVID-19 restrictions. This of course will impact their business heavily, so we are very willing to take orders for when they start production again (hopefully in around six weeks time!). We do have a handful left in stock, which will be the last for a while. 14.01.2022 Hi there. We have been amazed at Barratts how many people have just been going about life like normal. Our governments have been advising us to stay home or at work, and only go out for the essentials, the things you want or need and then hurry home. It is amazing to us how many people have been coming in to the shop just for a look around. So, from Wednesday 1st April, we are offering limited entrance to our store. We cant risk our staffs health or the spread of the... virus in the community. Please call us, or email or Facebook message to get the things you need, and meet us at the front door, where the counter will be, but there will be limited entry available. If you have very specific things you really need to see, we may let you in, but better still why not take advantage of our delivery service. Woody is doing a brilliant job of getting your gear to you, doing heaps of deliveries every day, so call us, put the gear you want on your credit card (or your account or a payment plan) and we will bring it to your door, or courier it. 08.01.2022 Another cool pedal has landed. This is a copy of the highly sought after Mostortion. The original Mostortion was part of a discontinued budget line of Ibanez pedals with plastic sockets and switch, so was prone to breaking. It fetches high prices 2nd hand for its smooth overdrive and great EQ section, this Danelectro version sounds just as good but in a sturdier enclosure and much cheaper than a working original Mostortion.
