25.01.2022 Getting thoroughly spoilt at daycare for her 1st birthday! We love you @little_vines_family_day_care

25.01.2022 So let’s talk cuts of meat and cost! I have a lots of people say how expensive meat can be for a family and it can be! I slow/pressure cook a lot, this pork shoulder was $22 and fed 4 for dinner last night, Sage twice and 3 for lunch with salad today and I’m freezing what you see here! Plenty for me and Troy for dinner in a Mexican quinoa/rice bowl next week!

25.01.2022 Days just spent chilling with your Aunty Kat and your future bestie @yogakiss

23.01.2022 Beautiful day celebrating with lots of family and close friends! Was super special having both sets of grandparents here. Sage was spoilt rotten with cuddles, love and beautiful gifts! Some little snaps from her special day! The girl didn’t stop moving #girlturns1

23.01.2022 So I’m taking an appointment daily whilst my babe is sleeping. I have two lovely ladies taking me up on my Mumma recovery package this week which I’m so so so happy about! These are all online face to face appointments in the comfort of your own home! Anyone else want my other spots?

23.01.2022 As Sage’s first birthday looms I look back on the year! Oh the things I wish I had known and could do again. Thishausofours wrote a post on her third bubba’s tongue tie and the trauma that it has caused for her personally and her bub. I always think the lucky thing is Sage will never remember but if I’m honest the trauma of that event is still etched in my heart forever! I see friends and other mothers with their new borns sleeping in prams or gazing up at the sky content and... happy after a feed a burp. My girl was all that written in this blog post, writhing and miserable, in constant pain and the screaming, the never ending screaming! It tested us all to our emotional and physical limits. I know for a fact I wouldn’t have survived even slightly as well as I have without my knowledge as a health practitioner. I get a little bitter that there has been so many bumps and tears in my journey, a journey I longed for so badly after years of hormonal challenges. I have to accept this is what is, I can’t turn back time but I’m hoping that this next chapter contains so many more smiles for my girl and me! #tonguetie #tonguetiebabies See more

20.01.2022 The first of many photos of one year old adventures! Gotta have eyes in the back of your head

19.01.2022 So everyone that knows me know i love a good poo talk! It’s wrong but I love the fact I get a front row seat to Sages numbers two’s! It’s helped me introduce foods/back off certain foods until later and tells me a little about what’s going on for her new and immature digestive system. So bloody interesting . Babies are born with a leaky gut which develops and strengthens and gets introduced to food through our breast milk and then eventually solids. Much like how I treat a patient with leaky gut really, remove inflammatory foods, heal, seal and reintroduce. Loving nourishing my blank canvas, hard work but I’m so excited for the journey of health she will have #familyguthealth

19.01.2022 Calling all barre lovers, I’m missing teaching sooo much and the major burn !! So im thinking of running a 6 week course using the beautiful @barebonesmovement The class will use the jumpboards for our warm up and they will also double up as our barre. I will include plenty of centre work as well to challenge our balance and coordination and get the heart racing ! Comment below if your keen for a Wednesday and what time?

19.01.2022 Baby shower and blessing for one special Mumma today! I got super emotional listening to everyone’s best wishes and it brought back so many memories for me I literally couldn’t hold it in! You have got this my girl and if you ever havn’t well we’re all here Yoga Kiss

19.01.2022 As a practitioner I’m not all or nothing because I believe in this message. I am the queen of overwhelm, it takes allllll the deep belly breaths and calming oils for me to to be able to take control. If we all threw our hands up and said it’s too hard no changes would ever be made. I have clients with small children and family’s making small changes with me as we speak. Removing one inflammatory food at a time, introducing a new food or habit each session and giving them them the knowledge and support to know how much good they are doing with each small step. Do you want to make small steps towards your health? DM me for a consult today, either face to face or via zoom link

18.01.2022 So in love with Sage’s nightlight, been meaning to take snap shot for ages! Made by a fellow Mumma and all round awesome chick @jentamarin check@out @alpineglow_co #supportlocal

Come and see me for a full consult including asking for some important blood work which we can get from the GP to see where your at! I can’t wait to support you and keep thing real and simple on your road to recovery! DM for details x See more

17.01.2022 Today was Devine! I left the house alone, with a tiny handbag, not covered in food and a small human and man it was good. Thanks to the amazing @om_cade for teaching me some amazing new recipes and ways of thinking about food. I love meeting likeminded people to inspire me, a group of health and wellness advocates all eating yummy food. I had some great conversations with some new friends and also caught up with a few ladies who have been on my to do list! I love the having a full pantry, once you have all the flavour bombs at your disposal it really is so easy to create. @melissaambrosini @sheridanjoyaustin @theprobioticline @thewellnest @stephkatewatson @melisa_marie8

16.01.2022 So BIIIIIIGGGGG news here, Sage finally has her first tooth at 13 months old. Her top left one and it’s a monster!!! It’s been a rough week but she is already putting it to good work, now for the other 7 I can see following

15.01.2022 Ah man I need this to pop up on my feed daily! I think regrets and worry come hand in hand with being a mother, all sometimes I really do feel this gets the better of me! Trying to find ways to be more at peace with my decisions lately, overthinking something definitely doesn’t make it better!

15.01.2022 Frozen spinach always in my freezer, avo spinach and banana smoothies for afternoon tea with some added organic yogurt! Super creamy and full of goodness

15.01.2022 These oats look a little green right? Well they are my hulk baby oats! Sage hates avocado so I mash it in her oats with some peanut and hemp butter so adding in some extra good quality fats and protein! Plus I’m trying to make sure she gets a little peanut butter every week so she has exposure to it! Remember it doesn’t always have be fruit added to oats have a try with these Savory oats and see what your bub thinks #babyfood #firstfoods

14.01.2022 Holidaying with these guys has been a ball! Sage has been so good, waving at everyone she meets, napping in her pram, eating Byron bay out of food! We’re all coming home 2 kilos heavier, gained some teeth and lots of memories! #familyholidays

13.01.2022 Check me out! So iv been thrust back into the work place this week, starting some gut heath workshops @noosaconfidential again and helping out with some clients and I have 3 of my own clients this week! It feels so good getting back into what I love, saw a beautiful Mumma this morning and am feeling pumped about making some changes for her! Sage is busy resting so I’ll be doing some patient prescriptions and ordering some functional tests

13.01.2022 Here’s to strong women, may we know, may we be them, may we raise them! Mother to a daughter, what a responsibility, to make her believe she can be whatever she wants to be, to guide her to be kind, loving and loyal! Oh the tantrums there will be and the arguments we will have but I hope after it all we will be great friends and she will know she loved so very dearly

12.01.2022 My valentines, forgot it was even Valentine’s Day and I’m sure he has too! But honestly couldn’t do life without you, you are the calm to my storm, the clean to my messy and I know I have sometimes been a little distracted this last year I love so so much

11.01.2022 First proper meal iv made at lunchtime in at least a week! Iv barely eaten actually, bad nutritionist ! So inspired by @nourishinglolaandsage these fritters were born of some left over quinoa I cooked in broth the other day hat sat in the fridge and went no further! Can’t even remember why I made it but sage even had a little taste, more than she has done in a week! She is looking very skinny Rough recipe 1 cup cooked quinoa 1 zucchini finely grated and water squeezed o...ut 1 carrot 1 sad spring onion 1tsp smoked paprika Salt to taste 3 eggs 1/4 cup coconut flour Pan fry in coconut oil See more

11.01.2022 When your daycare gets new chicks to play with, nugget and drumstick !! Sage tried to decapitate one, just showing her love #familydaycare

11.01.2022 Chia jam, super easy and a handy way to flavour Greek yogurt, avoiding all the extra added artificial flavours sugars and emulsifiers that can be found in commercial yogurt! Also great on pancakes too! Keeps in the fridge for a week

10.01.2022 So my parents have sadly left and I’m back to reality, which isn’t half bad, teaching Pilates @barebonesmovement seeing some clients @noosaconfidential and supporting a few private clients as well. Still have my Mumma recovery package available for any mums wanting to find their mojo again, this can be from anything to assisting with hormone balance, weight loss, addressing nutrient deficiencies, gut issues or mental health. Contact me for an appointment

07.01.2022 I love genetics and how they effect things like eye colour and all the way through to our bodies detoxification pathways. Amazing we can now test for genetic flaws or snips which helps us learn how to eat better or supplement better for better health outcomes and avoiding predisposition to certain conditions. There is NO one size fits all approach to health. Want to know more get in touch for a consult

07.01.2022 If your a mother please follow @alexandrasacksmd, so many ah ha moments for me and it makes me feel totally normal (well almost) on some of the emotions that crop up for me daily. Do I love my daughter yes, she is my world but I don’t like her sometimes especially during one of her 2 wake, screaming marathons at night when I’m exhausted and just want to be asleep. Posted @withrepost @alexandrasacksmd @beckybarnicomics | Imagine this: your baby is inconsolable, (and he ce...rtainly isn’t sleeping through the night!), you haven’t eaten or slept since you can’t remember and you really have to pee. Sound familiar? In these moments, when you’ve got nothing left to give, you may also feel ambivalent about the job of being a mother. It’s not that you feel ambivalent about your child, it’s just that at this moment, parenting is not fun. Ambivalence is a hallmark of motherhood and a natural reaction to any complex experience. During pregnancy and motherhood, sometimes you’re going to want to SLEEP IN rather than get up to nurse. Yes, being a mom can be filled with joy, but it’s also messy, frustrating, exhausting, expensive and time consuming. During matrescence, new mothers experience a pull and push of wanting their child close, and also needing physical and emotional space. This tension is intense, because of our evolutionary biology. The human baby is uniquely dependent, requiring care and attention for most hours of the day. Our hearts and the bonding hormone oxytocin fill human mothers with infinite love for their babies, but we are unable to infinitely give, because we have our own human needs too. Mothers feel an emotional push and pull around this responsibility, because they love their babies, but also need to take care for themselves. #matrescence #matrescencia #moms #motherhoodunfiltered #motherhoodunplugged #mom #momlife #mommas #mama #moms #mother See more

06.01.2022 Happy birthday baby girl, look at those bleary eyed parents! What a huge year of love beyond words, high emotions and plenty of tears! You made me a mother a year ago and I would never look back! By day you are the most social, sassy, happy baby you could wish for, by night your the devil ( but we won’t dwell on that! ! This motherhood gig is insanely difficult and amazing at the same time! We adore you Sage Grace, let’s celebrate you and most importantly your mum and Dad for surviving x

06.01.2022 My heart ! Its the sound that keeps me going! That giggle #somuchlove

05.01.2022 What a difference 2 weeks makes. I was tired, not sleeping, not eating enough nutrient dense food and man I felt it before this trip. It has reminded me to nourish myself not just my family. I have been eating 3 nutrient dense meals a day here in Bali, so many vegetables and I’m feeling so much better for it. Goals for when I get home is to keep it up and not fall back into the hustle and bustle without caring for me. # I’ll be ordering my organic box again (which is fallen... out the habit of) and using the meals iv eaten as inspo. # trying to reduce my phone time, my charger died and had no phone for 3 days and it was heaven. # read a book (an actual fictional book in the evening to wind down) instead of becoming numbed by tv or scrolling without a purpose. # Try as much a possible for early nights, have been sleeping like 10 hours a night here and man what difference. The body does not function without sleep and I had almost a year a half with very limited sleep. It’s causes the body to be in survival mode, which means it doesn’t clean up as effectively, digest our food or absorb nutrients. See you soon Australia x See more

05.01.2022 Posted @withrepost @alexandrasacksmd @mommingwithtruth | If you’ve spent most of your life monitoring your weight watching your shape change may feel like you’re losing control of yourself. In fact, pregnancy may be the first time in your adult life you’re not actively trying to lose weight. But once baby comes, you may feel pressure (both internal and external) to lose the weight you gained. It can be VERY EASY to feel critical of yourself and your body, so try to r...emind yourself that these physical changes were essential to growing a baby, and that is something to be proud of. Give yourself time (I recommend at least 12 months) to return to your prior shape if that is a goal, or enjoy your new shape as is. Also, try to think of food as not just physically nurturing but a key part of your psychology that strengthens your mind/body wellness during pregnancy and new motherhood. What you eat can also improve your brain function, influence your emotions, and enhance your mood. Food, also, fuels the baby’s growth and your body’s growth, the way sunshine nourishes a plant. #matrescence #matrescencia #motherhoodunplugged #motherhoodunfiltered #momlife #mothers #moms #momlife #momma See more

04.01.2022 Let’s talk BUGS! So we are made up of trillions of microorganisms , fun thought right? We are learning so much more about what makes our bacteria happy and one of things we definitely know is fibre is one of those things. These bugs need to be fed a varied diet with plenty of fibre, feel like your stuck in a rut? Try a new fibre filled food on your plate that maybe you don’t eat currently. See if any of these tickle your fancy

04.01.2022 My almost 1 year old in her first of many hair clips! just because your sick doesn’t mean you don’t have to look fabulous
