16.01.2022 There's something quite special and unique about rock climbing that lets us take holidays with our friends while also giving us a chance to test our skill level. I spent the weekend down at Bob's Hollow with some close friends and it was a great weekend for all. Many of us finished our projects and there were smiles all around. I finally ticked off the tallest climb in the crag (hollow promises 25). The climb starts with about 15m of softer moves where I couldn't help battl...ing with the pressure I put on myself to perform then being too tired leading into the crux. On the attempt that I sent the climb, I was totally relaxed at the start and not expecting anything of myself, I thought I was just practicing, and to my own surprise I found myself through the crux and powered through the sharp holds to the finish. Moral of the story: there is a fine balance between bringing enough intensity to the climb to try hard, and being too anxious to stay relaxed and save energy. I hope you all had a great weekend
