25.01.2022 Sometimes #selfcare for grown ups is about setting #boundaries for ourselves and with others. It’s not always easy. How good is it to have a few examples to mem...orise and bring out when we need them - rather than be caught out, put on the spot - when we fall back on our good manners (don’t be rude, be polite) We can model these for our children, teach them that it’s ok to say no. Role play and ‘gotcha’ games can be fun. #bodilyautonomy #bodyboundaries #rights #rightsandresponsibilities #bodysafetyeducation #protectivebehaviours #parenting

18.01.2022 In leadership you truly value your staff. My priority is encouraging an inclusive and safe environment for my staff to grow, thrive and succeed. Today my team presented me with some lovely gifts confirming to me that they are happy, accepted and thriving. What a beautiful suprise for a CEO. Love our role in our Gippsland communities and I am so proud of my team. #Tribe #mentalhealthadvocacy #leadershipbyexample #allleaders #mentalhealthsupport #barrierbreakers

11.01.2022 Tip your waiter. Return your shopping trolley. Pick up a piece of rubbish. Hold the door for the person behind you. Let someone into your lane. Small acts can have a ripple effect. That's how we change the world. . . .... . #LookAfterYourMentalHealthAustralia #youarenotalone #weseeyou #selflove #respect #mentalhealth #mentalillness #awareness #mentalhealthmatters #assistance #advocacy #hope #bekind #staysafe #stayhealthy #wellness #motivation #mindfulness #recovery #positivevibes #depression #bipolar #Selfcare #care #stress #quoteoftheday #NDIS #gippsland #traralgon #sale See more

09.01.2022 Psychiatrist Dr Joseph Dunn is transforming mental health in rural and remote towns. His volunteer group of motorcycle-riding psychologists, psychiatrists, nurs...es and counsellors Psychs on Bikes travels across the country to support people’s emotional wellbeing. Over the past decade, the mobile professionals have covered 40,000 kilometres and provided more than 1000 free physical and mental health checks. The suicide rate in the bush is nearly double what it is in the cities, Joe says. And it's about 80 per cent male. We want to break down the barriers around mental health and help destigmatise the idea of asking for help. In May, Psychs on Bikes travelled 16,000 kilometres across Queensland and the Northern Territory on its most ambitious ride yet: the 2021 Big Ride. 05.01.2022 Whilst we stay at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we know it is not the safest place for everybody. If you or your children are at risk of... harm, you can leave your home to seek support and assistance. We will not fine victims who leave to escape any type of family violence, whether this comes in the form of physical or psychological abuse. Family violence frontline services, including crisis accommodation, continue to operate. For consultation with a family violence specialist, contact safe steps Family Violence Response Centre on 1800 015 188 or online via email or web chat >> https://bit.ly/34IV7Vd In an emergency, always call Triple Zero (000) #ThereIsNoExcuse

04.01.2022 Robert F Kennedy once said: Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot for others, then send forth a tiny ripple of hope ...
