23.01.2022 I don't know if any of you have discovered diamond painting. For me it is therapy. I have found a supplier who is reliable and will be creating a range of dp kits with Australian themes, as well as offering a custom service. Would this be of interest to those on this page, or would you prefer me to stick to bushfood posts. It is up to you.

18.01.2022 Unity and resilience are two things that have helped us over the past 12 months - from devastating bushfires to COVID-19 - and they’re things we’ll continue to... need as 2020 goes on. Let’s take a moment to celebrate this first day of Spring and the resilience of nature by getting out amongst it. What does the wattle mean to you? #NationalWattleDay #Spring

07.01.2022 HAPPY WATTLE DAY 2020 On 1 September 1988, Golden Wattle was declared officially as Australia's national floral emblem. While Golden Wattle had long enjoyed tha...t status informally, it had taken strong supporters of the emblem, notably Maria Hitchcock and also the Society for Growing Australian Plants (SGAP), to persuade the Federal Government to grant official recognition in the Bicentennial Year. Wattle Day is now a day of celebration in Australia on the first day of September each year, which is the official start of the Australian spring. This is the time when many Acacia species (commonly called wattles in Australia), are in flower. People wear a sprig of the flowers and leaves to celebrate the day. (Wiki) Bring your family along to the Botanic Gardens and introduce your children and grandchildren to Australia's floral emblem.
