Shane came to our club last season after moving to paradise and impressed from the outset. With the power of Maxwell and the fitness regime of Warnie, Shane made his first grade debut this year and has continued to get better and better. Keep up the great work mate.

24.01.2022 Our Gilligan's Hotel and Resort performance of the week goes to second grade skipper Sean Prior! An exceptional all round performance from Sean helped guide his side to a 10 wicket win on the weekend and his bowling stats in particular have left us in awe. Sean is a delight to have around the club and it's great to see him leading from the front. Well done mate.

It’s hard to put in to words how much this man means to all of us at Barron. From working with youngsters on the rise, to making sure Elliott Lovejoy is actually doing his warm up lap and Jordan Fulton is bowling more than an over a session at training. 10.01.2022 The Tormey's Air and Ice team lists are in! With all Saturday fixtures washed out, our attention turns to our 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade Blue sides who play on Sunday. The 2nds are sitting very close to the top of the table and will try to kick off the second half of the season with a win against Mareeba. Meanwhile 3rd Blues are playing at home and will be looking to make a late run to the finals with a win against Rovers.... UP THE RIVER!

08.01.2022 THE Tormey's Air and Ice TEAMS ARE IN! A big round of fixtures for all four teams. 1st Grade are looking to return to winning ways against the dangerous Cassowary Coast. 2nd Grade are hunting three wins on the bounce and our 3rd Grade sides will be striving to build some momentum. This weekend we have a BRCC debut for Oliver Ritchie. Ollie is an exciting young cricketer from Brisbane who has recently moved to Cairns for work.... We also send our congratulations to Seb Robson (pictured) who got married TODAY!

06.01.2022 Jordan Massey Week continues with this edition of the Your Fitness Gutsy Effort! If anyone knows the value of a huge Gutsy Effort, it's our 4th Grade skipper. This weekend Gordo took the field with a busted finger and a banged up ankle and put in a huge all round performance. He racked up 78 with the bat, took two wickets, picked up a hugely important direct hit run out, took a catch and skippered the side superbly in a tight finish. If that's not enough, this weekend he became just the fourth player in BRCC history to go past 150 wickets and 1000 runs for the club. WHAT A MAN! 03.01.2022 It's time for the LJ Hooker Cairns Beaches Junior Spotlight! The Level 1 side have been working on their basic skills at training. This week they focussed on walking in and backing up in the field. On the weekend Eddie Hammerton showed some great sportsmanship by 'walking' even though the umpire gave him not out. He was also the top scorer for the innings. The Level 2 side had a good win against Rovers on the weekend. At training they've working on running between wickets. ... The Level 3 side struggled on the weekend, but they're trying hard at training and improving every session. Newcomer Michael Knight played his first game for the club and scored a run off his very first ball! The Junior Blasters and Master Blasters are having a ball under the guidance of Joel Reid and Jordan Massey. There's over 20 young cricketers participating in our Blaster programs every week, and they're loving it! UP THE RIVER!
