25.01.2022 We are unable to travel to Melbourne this weekend for our monthly stall at Elwood Farmers Market. This month was going to be our last and a chance for Graham to farewell his customers so we will instead make August our last market and hope to see you there on Saturday morning the 8th August.

He would like to thank you in person for your support and appreciation (no hugging or handshakes though). He has sold his olive grove and is bowing out of the industry after producing an award-winning early harvest extra virgin olive oil for 25 years. We still have enough premium extra virgin olive oil and lime pressed olive oil to satisfy demand at t...his months market so come and stock up. We will continue selling remaining stock via our online shop until it runs out. It was a small harvest this season but we did also produce our favourite lime pressed oil. 23.01.2022 The 2020 harvest is well under way. It will be a short one as the promise in September of a good harvest with many trees flowering well, did not progress as hoped due to the hot, dry and windy conditions in October. However some trees are bountiful and the early harvest oil we are pressing smells and tastes as good as ever. Monicas nephew Eddie has come to visit to lend a hand and experience Mallee life. We look forward to bringing the new season oil to our farmers markets and for online sale in June after it has had a chance to settle out in the vats.
23.01.2022 The end of an era! Due to a very small harvest this year I have only been able to produce a limited amount of premium extra virgin olive oil. So sadly the farmers markets in July will be my last (11th Elwood Farmers Market, 12th Flemington Farmers Market, 18th Brighton Farmers Market). So please come and say good-bye as I would like to thank you in person for your custom and appreciation.... There will be some remaining stock but sales will be via the online store barrowolives.com.au until it runs out. Free delivery if you live in the vicinity of these markets.

22.01.2022 The olive grove has been sold ! The new owners will take possession after this coming harvest which will finish in May. So sadly, this will be our last harvest but we will continue selling our olive oil through farmers markets in Melbourne Elwood Farmers Market, Brighton Farmers Market, Flemington Farmers Market until we sell out of the new seasons olive oil. We will also continue to sell directly through our online shop http://barrowolives.com.au/store. The new owners will ...be shadowing Graham during this harvest as they plan to continue producing premium quality extra virgin olive oil so they will be learning how the press works and how the grove is maintained. Thanks for being loyal customers and we hope you will continue buy our oil. The new seasons early harvest extra virgin olive oil should be on sale by July. Graham has enjoyed this journey for the past 27 years immensely and it will be a sad day when the last harvest is over.

Its the end of an era for Barrow Olives as Graham has sold the grove and after this market we will no longer be making the long trips to Melbourne as we are running low on stock after a small harvest this year. 20.01.2022 Lime pressed olive oil is currently out of stock. We have sold the last bottle but it will be back again in a couple of months as we start harvesting next week and we have already picked the tahitian limes which have been stored frozen waiting for the olive harvest.
20.01.2022 Our second time at the Bonbeach Farmers Market this Sunday and Graham will have the full range of our olive oils for sale (premium early harvest extra virgin and lime, lemon, mandarin, garlic and chilli pressed oils). These make excellent christmas gifts or contributions to bring along when you are invited to seasonal celebrations. As always there will be drums of each of the oils (except mandarin) for refilling our re-usable flasks. This is very economical and you are reducing waste too.

15.01.2022 A nice cool day at Flemington Farmers Market this Sunday 14-21 and cloudy. Dont forget to bring your flask along for a refill - we can refill with our flavoured pressed oils as well as our premium extra virgin olive oil. A long summer of salads still lies ahead and our lemon, lime and mandarin oils can really enhance your salads without any other addition. After the heat and smoke of these past couple of weeks at our other property in Eurobin, we are looking forward to a pleasant morning chatting to our customers. We are evacuees this weekend, as we were last weekend.
15.01.2022 Looking forward to our second time at Mulgrave Farmers Market tomorrow and a chance to have more people taste our fruity, grassy, extra virgin olive oil. Verdale variety olives harvested early in the season and pressed the day of the harvest make for a very fine oil for salads, drizzling and dipping. Our pressed flavoured oils where we crush whole fruit with the olives before pressing should be sampled too. Great for Christmas gifts.

13.01.2022 Unfortunately this Sundays Swan Hill Farmers Market will be the last for Barrow Olives. We are finding it increasingly difficult to get back for the first Sunday of every month from our new project 400km away so sadly we have to say farewell to our local farmers market where we have enjoyed talking to friends and customers alike each month. We have stocks of all of our olive oils except for the Mandarin Pressed Olive Oil which we have sold out of. So come and see us on Sun...day and stock up. BOM says it might be a mild day (max 20) with 40% of rain. Not that rain will dampen spirits these days. We have more varieties of table olives now ready for eating and you can buy them in jars or freshly marinated.

A sad day for Graham who has had his stall at this market since its opening and who has been making olive oil in Vinifera for 25 years. It will be the last time for us so stock up and come and say goodbye.
09.01.2022 FOR SALE - Grahams beloved olive grove in Vinifera which he has owned since 1993. The 840 Verdale variety olive trees were planted in the late 1950s and using the FIMO press purchased from Italy, Graham produces a fruity, grassy premium oil which has won first prize at the Sydney and Melbourne shows. They also make an excellent table olives. Graham has installed drip-line irrigation and has not used pesticides or chemical fertilisers. The adjacent 9 hectare block with cotta...ge and services is also for sale. Barrow Olive Oil is sold through provedores and farmers markets in the district and in five farmers markets in Melbourne. There are also online sales through our online shop. But time marches on and Graham and his partner Monica would like to retire in north-east Victoria nearer family. Both blocks are for sale and could be sold together or separately so contact us if you are interested. 08.01.2022 We are looking forward to a pleasant distraction at Elwood Farmers Market tomorrow, talking about olive oil instead of fires. Dont forget to bring your refillable flask if you want a refill. As well as our premium extra virgin olive oil we will also have drums of garlic, chilli, lemon and lime pressed olive oil. We have just evacuated from our new home in Eurobin near the Mount Buffalo National Park for the second time in a week. The Olive Grove and house near Swan Hill are not under threat and we were there last weekend checking on how the trees have coped with the heat, wind and dryness.

04.01.2022 The last crush for the 2020 season happened this morning. We included all the limes from our Tahitian lime trees with the olives to make a delicious agrumato lime oil for the final press. The early harvest extra virgin olive oil we have been pressing from our Verdale olive trees is as tasty as ever and with just slightly more pepperiness than usual. Looking forward to when it is ready for bottling in June. Our 2019 season oil is still tasting great with a best before date of May 2021.
