24.01.2022 It’s McHappy Day! What better day to take a quick break from campaigning to get a feed and meet the enthusiastic team at McDonald's Spearwood. Each year, all McDonald's restaurants across Australia host McHappy Day, supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia. This annual contribution assists Ronald McDonald House Charities to support more families with seriously ill children. To donate, head to https://www.mchappyday.org.au/event/mchappy-day-2020
24.01.2022 Thank you to Shadow Treasurer and Member for Bateman Dean Nalder for chatting to me today about building Roe 8 & 9 and getting trucks off Leach Highway. Roe 8 & 9 will reduce congestion on our roads while creating jobs and building our economy.
23.01.2022 Winter is a great time for comfort food so I dropped in at Fremantle Chocolate in Bibra Lake. Small and family businesses like Fremantle Chocolate drive our community and the economy. With the effects of the coronavirus crisis, there has never been a more important time to get out and support local businesses that are doing it tough Make sure you're supporting local business this comfort food season!
20.01.2022 PUT WA JOBS FIRST It was great to get out this weekend to letterbox and meet locals. Locals like Jack and Evelyn from Kardinya are telling me that jobs and rebounding from COVID-19 are their main concerns. I'm committed to working on a plan for jobs in WA

16.01.2022 The Salty Gnome Cafe is a great cafe tucked away in O'Connor, within the Willagee area. It's small and family businesses like The Salty Gnome that drive our community and the economy They can't open as normal due to COVID-19 restrictions, so make sure you grab a take away coffee and support local small and family business
15.01.2022 I had the pleasure joining Owen Mulder - Liberal for Cockburn and City of Cockburn Councillor Tom Widenbar on a visit to the Cockburn Ice Arena in Bibra Lake. It was inspiring listening to para-skater Kylie tell us how empowering it is to be able to participate in the sport. Thank you to Daniel Perrett, President of the Western Australian Inclusive Skating Club and Melvin Tang, President of the Cockburn Hawks, for hosting us and telling us about the challenges and opportuniti...es facing ice sports in WA. With around 1000 participants in various ice sports including 20 para skaters this is an emerging sporting community in the area.
14.01.2022 SIGN THE PETITION Locals in North Lake say traffic on Farrington Road is a serious problem The Murdoch Drive Connection should be reducing traffic but WA Labor took away vital access ways.... Sign my petition to help fix the extension of Roe Highway into Murdoch: petition.org.au/roe-access/
14.01.2022 It’s World Teachers Day! So make sure your say a special thanks to all the teachers you know. For every class prepared.... For every lesson learnt. For every piece of sage advice. For every assembly, school concert, sports day, camp and excursion. We thank you. Your care, compassion and support for our kids means so much.
12.01.2022 FIX MURDOCH DRIVE SIGN MY PETITION The Murdoch Drive Connection should be taking traffic off the busy intersections of Farrignton Road and giving locals access to Roe Highway to the east. Instead, vital access ways to the road have been removed by the State Labor Government. Sign my petition to reinstate the access ways:... petition.org.au/roe-access/
12.01.2022 Small and family businesses are the lifeblood of our state and the Willagee area is home to so many innovative local buinsesses. That's why I invited Senator Matt O'Sullivan to come visit businesses like Ormsby Guitars that export guitars right around the world. Supporting local businesses is vital to creating jobs and getting back on track after the coronavirus pandemic.
11.01.2022 The Barry Van is wrapped and ready! I’ll be out and about knocking on doors in the coming weeks, so make sure to say hello if you see me or my van Hope to see you soon!
11.01.2022 The Murdoch Drive Connection is open but it's not as good as it should be Bibra Lake locals have a road that they can't use properly because WA Labor removed access from Bibra Drive and Farrington Road. This means 4,000 additional cars each day will drive past homes and through children’s crossings on Farrington Road. It's time to stop the Farrington Road Rat Run and get those access-ways built.
10.01.2022 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected. If you feel like something’s not quite the same with someone you know there’s something going on in their life or you notice a change in what they’re saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.... Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change, or even save, a life: 1. Ask R U OK? 2. Listen 3. Encourage action 4. Check in Visit ruok.org.au For R U OK? resources you can use every day.
10.01.2022 The 112,000 Western Australians unemployed as a result of the Coronavirus crisis need a plan for jobs. But the Labor Government are planning for even more job losses by blocking the construction of Roe 8 & 9. Roe 8 & 9 will create thousands of jobs and take trucks off our local roads. This will ease congestion, reduce emissions and make Willagee's roads safer. Let's get on with it and build Roe 8 & 9
09.01.2022 Great to be out and about knocking on doors in Willagee with my wife Penny Willagee locals have been telling me that crime and traffic are issues in the area that need addressing and I will continue to fight for Roe 8 & 9 and more police in Willagee
09.01.2022 If you're a Coolbellup local that loves Port City Roasters in South Fremantle then there's good news! I dropped in to chat with Mohammed who told me about the plans to open up in the Coolbellup Shopping centre next to Woolworths. For now make sure to drop by the coffee cart for your daily grind!
08.01.2022 After seeing the sign on Leach Highway so many times, it was great to visit Koala Self Storage with Miquela Riley - Liberal for Fremantle and tour the facility. Koala Self Storage is locally owned and stores everything from vehicles to the contents of businesses and homes. Supporting local businesses like Koala will help our economy recover from the coronavirus crisis and give Willagee locals jobs
08.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT The Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee will fix Labor's bungled local jobs law and create more opportunities for WA small and family-run businesses, helping the WA economy bounce back quicker and stronger. Under the Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee, "local" will mean local, ensuring WA small and family-run businesses are given preferential treatment and the opportunities to create more jobs here in WA.... Labor's bungled local jobs law defines local businesses as "suppliers of goods produced, or services provided, in Western Australia, another State, a Territory or New Zealand". Recently, this has meant $9 million worth of small business contracts that could have been done by WA businesses and workers were awarded to eastern state companies. The Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee ensures local means local, keeping local jobs and profits here in WA for a quicker and stronger economic recovery. Learn more https://www.waliberal.org.au/local-jobs-guarantee
05.01.2022 Knocking on doors in Spearwood is much easier with a great brew from local business Coco + Boho! I’ll be out in Spearwood and Lake Coogee over the next couple weeks door knocking and asking locals about the issues that matter to them. Make sure to say hello if you see me!
