08.01.2022 G'day Friends, After consulting with everyone involved we have decided to postpone the opening season of Runaway Priest (scheduled for April 15-18). Any tickets... booked will be refunded. We had a meeting of the cast last night and we couldn't see anyway we could practically get the show together at this time. One of the main considerations was that we and many others will probably be need to be thinking about other things and other people at this time of the coronavirus shutting down the country and the entertainment industry. Opening a new show requires a special energy and focus, and we, almost certainly as performers, parents, partners and friends will have time cut out elsewhere. We empathise with the number of festival committees that have had to cancel their events, and we extend our best wishes to our family, friends and colleagues in the entertainment and hospitality industry that are facing hard times and and uncertain future. We would like to thank the Celtic Club for its support, and also Frances Devlin-Glass, Judy Courtin and Peter Blenkiron (Ballarat Men's Mental Health) for their unique contribution to the evolution of the show to date. We have pencilled in a date to open the show later in the year, and will share that with you at appropriate time. Warm wishes, Felix Meagher See more
