25.01.2022 COVID-19 Response. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - At Bartlett we are closely following the unfolding COVID-19 Pandemic to understand how it will affect our business. We have implemented the following safety measures to ensure our staff, customers, suppliers, friends and family remain healthy whilst attempting to provide uninterrupted service. Scrupulous hygiene practices in our Hallam office, workshop, warehouse and factory. Warehouse is handling components with rubbe...r gloves and the recommended hand washing instructions are being observed. Internal and external face-to-face meetings have been replaced with other communication methods including email, phone calls, video conferencing, instant messaging. Social distancing in the office, workshop and warehouse. Visitors are now routed to an external warehouse door to be greeted in an open demarcated space. Enforcing a 14-day self-quarantine if any employee comes into direct contact with individuals that have tested positive the virus they must self-isolate per official guidelines. Preparing for protracted lockdown, including planning for ongoing communications, distribution and shipping of products, ensuring necessary materials can be delivered to customers. Industry Classification, Bartlett is also working hard to seek clarification as to business classification ‘Support to Essential Service’ which may enable some level of service provision during a lockdown. We are continually monitoring the information provided and recommended via official Australian Government websites and our industry groups. Our ongoing actions will be based on the most up-to-date information. As the situation evolves, we will adjust our plans accordingly to continue to protect our employees, clients and ensure continuity of our service offering. Bartlett will continue to place the care and safety of its employees, clients and suppliers at the forefront. Take care of yourself and one another, Sincerely Allan Bartlett Managing Director

22.01.2022 The work area between truck and trailer is a safety Hot-Spot requiring well planned controls and on-going checking regimes. These safety systems should be built around a rock-solid choice of equipment. For more than 70 years Bartlett has forged a high-trust reputation amongst Australian fleets by supplying a range of innovative and superior towing products and services, all designed to help you take on the towing Hot-Spot with the highest levels of confidence.

19.01.2022 'Safeguard the Hot-Spot' Trailer Mag February 2020 issue - - - - - - - - - - TRAILER MAG: Achieving and maintaining a safe and fully compliant transport service involves a multitude of ongoing operational decisions and practices. When it comes to managing the critical safety zone between the truck and trailer, the ‘Hot-Spot’, it will be subjected to the heaviest investigative scrutiny in the event of an unforeseen incident. Bartlett Equipment elaborates. New Australian Chain... of Responsibility (CoR) laws consider each participant in the vehicle supply and operational chain accountable to varying degrees; this includes day to day management and operation. Some examples of issues that may impact towing safety include incorrectly specified, non-compliant or inadequately rated vehicles, their parts and or equipment. Add to that, parts or equipment not fitted or maintained to the original equipment manufacturer’s guidelines and vehicles or equipment not being operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Clearly, the importance of selecting and maintaining compliant heavy-duty vehicle towing equipment is essential, not only to protect the safety of the truck driver and other road users, but to protect the ongoing safety and viability of the fleet organisation and its people. Managing Director of one of this country’s most respected and specialised heavy-duty towing equipment manufacturers, Allan Bartlett, explains: There should be no second measure when it comes to towing equipment, yet we continue to see weak links in the supply and management chain that are a critical risk to the overall safety and integrity of a fleet’s towing systems, he says. In the very worst case, imagine the potential of a runaway trailer and the devastating and costly results that can follow.
