21.01.2022 One of our region's highlights, Cathedral Range State Park is full of bucket list worthy views, challenging hikes and camp sites. Throw on a backback, grab yo...ur hiking buddies and prepare yourself for one of the most rewarding climbs to the top, revealing spectacular views across the ridgeline and beyond! www.discoverdindi.com.au

20.01.2022 A DRIVE THAT WILL MAKE YOUR JAW DROP Winding through the rainforest, past tall trees and ferns, with the car windows down; this is arguably Victoria’s best... drive, perhaps even Australia’s best drive. This is the Black Spur, a 30 kilometre stretch of paradise between Healesville and Marysville. This stunning forest was planted by local men and soldiers returning from World War 1 after the severe 1939 bushfires that decimated a large proportion of the Yarra Valley & the central highlands. Follow the Maroondah Highway out of Healesville and embark on your drive through the world famous Black Spur. Dipping and curving around each corner, the drive will take you deeper into the lush rainforests. Even on the brightest summer’s day the light is muted from the towering eucalyptus regnans canopy 100 metres overhead, the air is warm and damp, and huge ferns line the roadside. Just remember, during the summer months or long weekends the road is populated with motorbike riders, the sweeping corners offering an idyllic ride for them, so it’s important to be extra vigilant. Don't forget to stop of at the Black Spur Inn for a bite to eat and then once you reach Marysville there is loads to do! From stunning waterfalls, lush rainforest walks, boutique shopping, magical kids playgrounds and beautiful local food and wine. And that’s just the beginning! Day trips from Melbourne? Last minute weekend away? Doesn’t get much better! www.discoverdindi.com.au

08.01.2022 We wanted to "check-in" with our loyal guests and bring a little white sparkle into your homes. We all have places we would like to be visiting right now, but t...he safest place to be is home, following government guildelines. Many of our favourite destinations and attractions are coming straight to your loungerooms virtually and today, we wanted to share some of the incredible snow and magical images we captured of our little mountain. A reminder to all Victorians, Lake Mountain Alpine Resort remains closed. We hope you and your family are staying safe, doing the right thing and looking after each other. www.lakemountainresort.com.au
