21.01.2022 Making food using the ingredients we’ve grown in our own gardens is so satisfying. Our students had the opportunity to use chillies from the garden along with garlic, carrots, onions, ginger and vinegar to make chilli infused vinegar. Should be a tasty accompaniment to any dinner table here in Barunga!

18.01.2022 CHANGES TO SCHOOL TIMES TERM 4: Next term, beginning Monday 12th October, Barunga School will be trialling new school starting and finishing times. Our new timetable is as follows: Breakfast: 8:15am - 8:45am Session 1: 8:45am - 11:00am Lunch: 11:00am - 11:30am... Session 2: 11:30am - 1:30pm Break: 1:30pm - 2:00pm Session 3: 2:00pm - 3:05pm A note will be sent home to families reminding you of these changes. If you have any questions, please contact the Front Office.

14.01.2022 SUPERSTARS ... no other words to describe our amazing students and their reading!

14.01.2022 We want to shout from the rooftops just how wonderful it is to have so many amazing students who attend school every day. Last week (Week Five) we had 35 students who came to school every day, so they've won a $50 meat tray. These will be delivered on Monday so will come home with our awesome 100% attendees on Monday afternoon. Have a great weekend!

13.01.2022 Beef and vegetable soup.... so tasty when we’ve grown some of the vegetables, prepped all of the ingredients and cooked it ourselves! A huge thank you to Nettie and Lance from the EON Foundation who once again took the time to teach us that we need five vegetables and two fruits a day. We just love our cooking lessons.

13.01.2022 It’s been very hot here in Barunga lately and our staff have decided that sometimes it’s too hot to be outside at lunch and recess, so we now have the option to choose. We can colour in, do word searches, read a book, play a game and just chill out in the new classroom!

06.01.2022 PRESCHOOL NEWS - Logan was our prize winner for great attendance at preschool/crèche last week. He got to select a prize from the prize box for attending Preschool at Creche every day last week!

04.01.2022 Today our Middle Years and High School students were invited to attend a community meeting, where they got the opportunity to test our local police officers on their knowledge of how to wear Personal Protective Equipment. Thanks to Daniel and Tristan for being such good sports!
