16.01.2022 What a day we had at the 2019 event! Come join the fun in 2020 @ the 13th Beach Health Services Barwon Heads Triathlon

15.01.2022 SWIM LEG - 400m In 2020 the swim leg will be in the calm, protected waters on the north side of the Barwon Heads Bridge. Not a strong swimmer? We’re going to make this easy for you! You will be swimming with the outgoing tide! ... The 400m swim starts on the sand next to the Ozone Jetty. You will wade/swim out and turn right at a buoy then swim parallel with the shore-line, never more than 20m or so from the shoreline. At the last buoy you will turn right and swim towards the shore. Next, a short run along the sand, under the Barwon Heads Bridge and up in to transition, which is located on the grass field opposite the Barwon Heads Hotel. Water safety will be provided by the experts from Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving club. If you would like to walk over the swim course and find out further information, stay tuned for our 3rd clinic held on Feb 8. Come on down to our FREE clinic and learn all about transitions, as well as walking the swim course. Note: The tide will not be travelling in the same direction as the swim on race day, so join us as was we walk you over parts of the course to prepare you for race day. ... When: Saturday 9-10am Where: Meet at the Barwon Heads car park (opposite the pub). All are welcome!
