24.01.2022 The Club Development Series continues next week as we host four webinars on Child Safety for clubs and associations. The webinar covers the Why, What and How of Child Safety, and provide several resources to support your clubs in the process. The session for our South West Area will is on Thursday, 3 September. However, if you can’t make that time, please attend one that suits your availability.

23.01.2022 Community Cricket Program - Community Facilities Stream Applications are now open for the Victorian Government’s 2020-21 round of the Community Cricket Program - Community Facilities Stream. The 2020-21 round of funding is available for applications from Local Government Authorities seeking up to $100,000 for projects to develop or redevelop local cricket infrastructure from training nets through to female friendly and accessible change rooms. We encourage cricket clubs who h...ave a project in mind to approach their LGA if they haven’t already. More information about this grant can be found via the link below. https://sport.vic.gov.au//our-gr/community-cricket-program Eligible projects The types of projects that are eligible for support include: cricket training nets/facilities that are publicly accessible and may be multi-sport pavilion/clubroom developments with female friendly changerooms facilities on school land with confirmed community use new and/or improved cricket pitches or sports field upgrades that increase capacity or safety irrigation and drainage upgrades that improve capacity, inclusion or safety sports lighting that enables new programming, improves capacity, inclusion or safety.

08.01.2022 So we promised some big news. Well the CDCA Girls Cricket group are dreaming big and looking to establish a local Youth & Women’s Cricket Competition in the upc...oming season. Aimed at those teenage girls needing to up the challenge from Stage 1 and for those developing or new women’s players. With the best of the local talent aiming to still playing in Irrewarra’s team in the Barwon Women’s Competition. Hopefully for atleast a four team competition over 10 weeks. 9 players each side in a T20 format played likely on a Sunday afternoon. We believe we have the basis of 3 teams already established; Irrewarra Youth, Irrewarra women’s reserves, Pomborneit Bull women’s.
