24.01.2022 Seagulls all, another weekend has come and over 20 teams wore our colors with pride and passion. Our teams, be they on the netball court, boys/young men having a kick or our trail breaking girls teams dashing down the wing, the Executive and Committee thanks all. We know it is hard and difficult. These times are not normal and the Club could not be more proud of the coaches, players, team managers, umpires, carers, parents, moral support crew, grand parents, trainers, the ...junior committees and all who help. So to all - a big and hearty thanks. We are a great little club because of all involved. Stay safe, stay connected and go the Seagulls. 22.01.2022 The Tree on the Wing lads have landed a bona fide legend. Chooka was the Tony Modra of the Bellarine. A high flying goal kicking machine whose talents knew no bounds. 100 goals? - tick. Premierships? - tick. Best and Fairests?- tick. Superstar? - more ticks than you can imagine. Listen in to a golden era with a golden Seagull.

20.01.2022 Seagulls - see updated advice on when training may be able to resume in a limited format. Stay strong.

20.01.2022 12 months ago today.... The Seagulls came to play Burgers were flipped, chips were cooked as 8 teams vied for premier-ships. ... It was a day to remember, that one day in September.

19.01.2022 With junior footy & netball and Senior Womens footy getting ready, we have revised the Captains Club package for season 2020 with some great discounts available for Captains Club members from local businesses. We have had a number of requests from Captains Club members who would like to join for 2020. We are also very conscious of the fact that many in our community have been financially impacted by the pandemic and we will understand it if any you are unable to support the Captains Club for this year, even at the reduced rate of $100. So if you are interested and able, BHFNC would greatly welcome your support.

18.01.2022 Seagulls all, Despite our Senior Footy and Netball seasons being ruled out, THERE WILL BE FOOTY & NETBALL this year. Who will play?... Our junior footy and netball teams will get the chance to play Our girls and womens footy teams will get the chance to play Our Under 19 Colts will get the chance to play In fact, AFL Barwon cancelled only the season for 8 of our 28 teams. Therefore 20 teams will have the chance to play - the vast majority. Our Senior Footy and Netball teams are working - as we speak - on how they can play and how we can once again cheer from the Hill or the sidelines. Seagulls - yes - the traditional cadence of the footy and netball season has been altered, but despite all - the Seagulls will play. Details will be forthcoming but for players - polish your boots; coaches - whet your whistle and supporters/sponsors and helpers all - have your scarves at the ready. We will make the most of 2020 and prime ourselves for 2021. We are the Seagulls Down by the Sea

18.01.2022 2021 Golf Day - on Friday February 2021 our annual golf day is once again being held at 13th Beach. The day is fun filled, relaxed and a great way to get together before the season begins in earnest. Proudly sponsored by the Beach House - contact Ian Perrett to secure your spot on the best golf day this side of a three putt.

17.01.2022 As we look forward to 2021, it is great that our sponsors are still confirming their financial support of BHNFC in 2020 - big thanks to Cotter Reid Architects for being a Bronze Sponsor for season 2020! Whilst the season wasn't what we expected, BHFNC still had operating expenses so the financial commitment of sponsors like Cotter Reid is vital - and helps us set up for 2021!

12.01.2022 Although we cant attend the Footy and Netball, theres no reason why we cant barrack from the safety of our own abodes. The Seagulls are in action again this week on the netball court and on the footy field. We wish them well and are sure that the Seagull spirit will be high, even without crowds. GO HEADS

12.01.2022 Over the Hill? Never. But the current one will be improved over the coming months* to better enable more people to witness the Mighty Seagulls in 2021 and beyond. Level atop and terraces to sit and lounge upon. The Seagulls will return - strong, bold, defiant and with our extra player - those on the Hill - ready to impart their wisdom. *We are awaiting a Planning Permit from Council for the Terracing and other works (electronic scoreboards, new coaches boxes, etc). Does anyone own a magic wand ? (aside from the Harry Potter throng and the Wicked Witch of the West).

12.01.2022 COVID is testing all of us. The BHFNC thanks all health and allied workers who are helping keeping us safe. Our Club, like many, has nurses, doctors, cleaners and any manner of helpers in health. We thank you. We respect you. ... Local sport will return in full at some stage. Until then, stay strong, stay safe and stay connected.

04.01.2022 SENIORS BACK ON THE TRACK Barwon Heads senior squad recommenced training on Tuesday night under the new glow of their recently installed ground lighting and with the Howard Harmer ground in pristine condition. Co senior coaches Troy Mitchell and Mitch Herbison were thrilled with the condition of all players and described this first session as an outstanding success. As per AFL Victoria protocols outlining the return of training, 4 groups of 10 trained with great enthusiasm be...tween 5.30 and 7.30. It was very pleasing to see our Geelong Falcons young guns in Charlie Brauer, Archie Hildebrandt, Sam Witherden, Oli Wiltshire and Flynn Young at training with emerging young gun Charlie Hurst. 2020 recruits Will Jacobs, Teia Miles, Matt Iannelli, Tom OCallaghan, Sam Torpy, Bobby Wallace, Cam OLeary, Riley Berg, Leigh Sartori and Cody Diana were all impressive on the track. Training was sharp and enthusiastic and it was great that premiership players Matt Dyer, Otto Opperman, Mitch Phelps, Kyle Polley, Ned Aulsebrook, Damien Horbury, Braeden Eddy, Logan Mitchell, Brock Close and Jaydan McLauchlan led the way. Barwon Heads will continue to train on a Tuesday and Thursday night and eagerly await a positive announcement from AFL Barwon regarding the start of the 2020 season.
