25.01.2022 UPDATE: just email [email protected] Sorry I had to repost! I put the wrong email in. REPOST or SHARE! Hi every bunny! Mum is still trying super hard ...to help get us all a vaccine! Remember when we asked you a couple months ago to email and politely ask for an update? Well that little post to our Instagram which was just a mere spark, became a huge fire and spread Australia and worldwide, the amount of emails sent by you all along with the social media sharing of our post meant we finally got a good response! We were told, we would have an answer in October whether or not the vaccine will be approved. So, here we are, it is October and I need to ask you once more to please send an email to the ones posted below and in the photo and POLITELY ask for an update. Please ONLY email the two emails provided here. Please DO NOT be rude, no matter how passionately you feel about this. Let make one little voice become a million. #itsnotjustarabbit [email protected] #vintagebunnyclub #rabbitsofig #bunniesofig #rhdv2 #vaccine #apvma #tiffosclub

17.01.2022 UPDATE 20.10.20 It wasn’t published. But I can see the hope is still alive by the shares and the comments you have all shared. There is still time for them to m...eet their advised eta. Keep hoping keep putting the positivity out there it will happen and keep the dream alive. We aren’t done yet. Share away CROSS YOUR FINGERS EVERYBUNNY OF AUSTRALIA. We were told we could expect an answer in October if the vaccine is approved by the APVMA. Approvals, change of label, cancellations etc are posted in the APVMA Gazette released each fortnight. The next issue is due tomorrow the 20th October... the last one for October, maybe they might tell us in that! I for one have been reading every single one waiting for any mention. I know by now we are all exhausted and feel defeated by what we’ve had to endure, by the lack of empathy and the lack of help we have received, believe me when I say, I felt like there was no hope when my rabbits died. No one cared, no one could help me and no one can stop my nightmares. But, I picked myself up and I came back with a vengeance with you all in the hope it can still happen! So I want to put it to you, what if, just imagine it, what if tomorrow they actually publish something, what if we read some good news, what if it is actually going to happen....imagine how wonderful that would be.... To be heard. To be understood. To have a chance. To have protection. What if we just held onto that hope a little longer. I know I do. And if it doesn’t happen.... I’ll still hold that hope and keep trying. But for now, it’s a hope worth holding. If this doesn’t come through for us, never fear, sign up to their gazette, keep emailing, keep putting pressure and asking for updates. Let’s make it happen. 12.01.2022 FOR SALE BLACK JERSEY WOOLY DOE PIPKIN (TAS) BRED DOE ROUGHLY 2 YEARS OLD. AVALIBLE TO CLUB MEMBERS ONLY $100... RAISES LITTERS GOOD MOVING ON DUE TO RETAINING KITS FROM HER. See more

12.01.2022 Super solid doe built like a brick. She might not be a looker but if you can look past the big ears which she will grow into eventually. it's always good to retain a 'BUD' a big ugly doe as these doe's generally make the best healthy kits. Its not always about looks, body is more important than ears and ears are easier to fix than body and a larger brood doe is always better than a smaller brood doe.

12.01.2022 Lovely Patches bred chinchilla buck maturing beautifully. Just wish I could pose him better with one hand

03.01.2022 Cute little Jersey Wooly Kit A reminder to bunny owners to trim those nails! All my bunnies had their nails done and a mite treatment done today! Keep on top of these things before they become an issue! Every 3 months mine will get nails, mited and wormed. Rabbits can loose weight if they haven't been wormed in awhile so it's best to keep up to date with these things.

02.01.2022 Update pics of some bunnies!

01.01.2022 We are sad to report that we have seen multiple confirmed case clusters of RHDV2 (rabbit haemorrhagic viral disease / calicivirus). It causes sudden death in yo...ung rabbits especially under 6 months of age. The current vaccination confers some protection but is not complete; we have found that those who are vaccinated have a slightly better chance of surviving but can still pass from it. We have also seen a run of myxovirus cases, this causes swelling of the eyes, mouth, face and genitals. These bunnies suffer horribly before they eventually die from gut stasis or starvation. In some of these, we suspected cross-infection with calicivirus but were unable to confirm it. Myxo also tends to affect rabbits under 1 year of age but may infect any aged rabbit. There is NO vaccination in Australia for this. Treatment is difficult, survival is very low, and the likelihood of suffering is very high. Both of these deadly viruses are carried by insects, particularly mosquitoes, but can be carried by midges and flies. Viruses are also transferred by direct contact with infected individuals, and can be carried on fomites (shoes, clothing, bowls, hands). The majority of cases are coming from the western suburbs. The announcement of this year’s seasonal La Niña weather pattern brings relief to many because it promises more rainfall. This unfortunately does mean that with wetter conditions in summer, the insects that carry both these viral diseases are in increased numbers and out during the day (normally their numbers are worst at dawn and dusk). We are bracing for a bad season. We strongly recommend vaccinating where possible (there is NO vaccine for myxo in Australia), mosquito proofing where the rabbits live or taking all rabbits inside during the danger months. Although vitamin D from sunlight is very important, the risk of death from viral disease this summer and autumn for young rabbits far surpasses the risk of bone disease from lack of sunlight. We’re very sad for the heartbroken owners who have lost their whole family of rabbits, and the poor vets who have to euthanase endless suffering myxovirus infected rabbits (as they die horribly without help). Pic for attention: Dr Zoe's beautiful daughter, Cake the rex rabbit

01.01.2022 We still have these two gorgeous boys looking for their forever homes
