25.01.2022 Received a call the other day from a very upset man... His driveway had just been poured and the concreter then sealed it with a solvent sealer that same afternoon! The pics below show what happened... This is one of the biggest no-no's ever! As a newly poured concrete slab cures, the moisture evaporates from it. If you apply a sealer to it before it's cured, that moisture becomes trapped and the sealer goes cloudy.... Remember, if you're going to seal a new slab ensure you wait at least 28 days for it to fully cure or you'll risk a similar catastrophic failure! BTW, the concreter didn't use Base Coatings products... Best of luck fixing this little problem Chris!

03.01.2022 Tip! Add anti slip powder to the final coat when sealing steep driveways or paths, or where the surface is exposed to water, eg around the pool. Anti slip powder will provide an invisible texture to the coating; adding grip and reducing the potential for slips and spills!
