24.01.2022 It brings me great sadness to advise that after 5 weeks of running classes in my new home studio, I have closed classes for the next little while.. Even though the government hasn't been super clear on home studios, and even though I can practice social distancing in my studio with reformers being spaced metres apart, I think that it is really important that we ALL start to isolate as quickly and as much as possible. The quicker we do it the quicker we can all get back to normal. I will be starting online classes soon though as its so important to keep moving and healthy during this uneasy time. I will be posting more about this soon xxx

23.01.2022 Everyone looooves the reformer, so do I! But did you know you can work the same muscle groups doing mat Pilates instead? In fact matwork can be HARDER than reformer! Without the reformer to assist you, your body is left to do all the work! Dont get me wrong I will always love reformer but I recently have a newfound love of matwork. Hope you give it a try to see for yourself Here are some matwork variations focusing on the glutes + obliques enjoy! #pilatesmat #noreformernoproblem

21.01.2022 Pilates push ups.. probably one of my LEAST fave exercises. Who am I kidding, definitely my least fave! If youve been to my classes though youll know I like to throw them in there sometimes because theyre good to do!! Pilates push-ups focus on triceps + shoulder strengthening but also with the reformer adding in the additional challenge on stability on the torso it works the core so much too! #corestrength #pushups #plank #longstretch #reformer

20.01.2022 S T R E N G T H | is not something people usually associate with Pilates when theyve never done it before. Ive never felt stronger than when Im doing Pilates regularly. It works on your core muscles and those small little muscles that often get neglected. I might not be weight lifting strong but Im becoming more and more deep in my core strong. I hope you try it to see for yourself! Not long now until I can start running classes again!

Well well well, thats why you should do Pilates Ive become more flexible since starting Pilates and when I stick to a regular routine I find I have less aches and pains (getting old haha) and less stiffness and more flexibility! You dont need to want to do the splits or do a full back bend but increasing flexibility in your body and stretching out your muscles can help with built up tension and it just feels so good! As Jospeh Pilates says a man is as young as his spinal column.. lets get stretching guys Excuse the very serious Pilates trying not to fall off the reformer face its really hard not to do

Well well well, that’s why you should do Pilates I’ve become more flexible since starting Pilates and when I stick to a regular routine I find I have less aches and pains (getting old haha) and less stiffness and more flexibility!
