23.01.2022 I know you can all agree with me on how not having the right tool for the job can become a hair pulling experience and can also lead to the job at hand not being completed properly. Being a plumber and gasfitter, I have a wide range of plumbing specialty tools which I use for specific applications. I found myself becoming frustrated whenever I came across a basin set that needed changing as there arent any specialty tools that are guaranteed to get past a basin breech piece and onto the all mighty spout fixing nut which holds the spout on to the basin, as there is limited space behind the basin in cramped vanity cupboards. So I came up with a solution.
23.01.2022 Hi guys Here is some info on the Basin Socket Set. The main difference that sets this tool apart from the rest, is it fits in the tightest of spaces inside a vanity. ... The sockets are designed to fit up over the breech tee piece and up onto the spout fixing nut of a basin set. For reaching and undoing corroded brass and pvc fixing nuts, you cant get any better than the Tough Nut Basin Socket Set. The 1 Socket fits brass basin spout and pillar tap fixing nuts. The 1-1/32 Socket fits brass and PVC fixing nuts to pillar taps, push button taps and drink fountains. The 1-1/16 Socket fits Reece Base brand pvc basin spout fixing nuts, and some other brands. The 1-3/16 Socket fits hex and cross tabbed fixing nuts to cistern inlet valves. It saves time without needing to remove the toilet seat and cover plate to access the fixing nut, it also fits odd size faucet fixing nuts. Also there are 2 more less common sizes, which we will be developing in the coming year. 03.01.2022 Sick of resorting to cutting off spout outlets when the fixing nut is corroded in place. Or using a basin wrench which is usually too bulky to fit around the Nut and is painful to use in the tight space... Finally theres a less messy no stress alternative
