These reports compare your proposed building against the requirements of the NSW Rural Fire Service and the relevant Australian Standard. These reports will provide an assessment of the potential bushfire threat and outline recommendations for how to best mitigate as best as possible any identified threat. BASIX aims to improve the efficiency or new dwellings in NSW and reduce their impact on the environment whilst reducing long term running costs. BASIX certificates are required for all new houses in NSW.... NatHERS Thermal Comfort Assessments Thermal Comfort Assessments or House Energy Ratings provide an accurate modeling of a building design to show what the energy requirements will be to keep the building at a comfortable temperature year round. These are a requirement for all new buildings in most states, but can also be used to reduce building costs in NSW. BCA Part J Assessments The Building Code of Australia (BCA) requires that all new commercial buildings must comply with energy efficiency provisions set out in Part J of the BCA. Part J sets out the design and construction requirements for a class 2 to 9 building in order to demonstrate the efficiency of the building. These reports are required to be lodged with Council or your Private Certifier to demonstrate the adequacy of the design.
