24.01.2022 I was out of the salon yesterday as my family & I said our goodbyes to my Granny. A fiercely independent woman with a magnificent memory & gift of story telling. I'll always remember her crochet blankets, her baking and that she never forgot your birthday. Even though she didn't make it to 100 as she hoped for, 96 and a half years is a bloody good effort. ... 23.01.2022 MY COSMELAN UPDATE || So by the end of day 2 my peeling had well & truly started. I applied ampoules of product to nourish the dryness. Day 3 I woke up a little more swollen and very peely. There was still pinkness & a little warmth in my skin but it was comfortable to apply my products. By the end of day 3 I had started to develop a cold sore. I have had cold sores in the past, but the last one I had was 5 years ago after having my lips tattooed. Some of you might r...emember the healing stages of that. So it's very evident that when my lips/mouth area experiences some trauma the cold sores develop. Day 4 and the peeling was starting to subside but the cold sore was very ugly. I have no photos from day 4 & only one from day 5 which shows my rough, dry skin. It was getting ready to flake up & shed again. Precision photo taking skills to exclude the cold sore Days 5 - 8 my skin didn't really change too much in this time. Lots of products were applied to relieve the dry, flakiness. There is a good week - 2 weeks of down time from this treatment. I'm only just over 1 week in so more updates will be posted in time. 19.01.2022 DAY 10 COSMELAN UPDATE: Today is day 10 & I took this pic this morning to compare to rough, crocodile skin from day 5. I could really see results today & it was awesome to feel like my skin was clear enough to not want to wear makeup. ... I am still a little flakey from time to time, but the products that come with the treatment alleviate that. Can only get better from here

13.01.2022 Cosmelan depigmentation treatment update: The mask was on for 10 hours and it was a relief to rinse it off. I was a bit pink and only slightly tender to touch after removal. My skin became more pink after a few hours & also felt warmer. Day 1 - I woke up feeling warm, tender to touch & a little swollen. This feeling lasted all day & signs of peeling appeared by that night.... Day 2 - Still pink, only slightly warm, but very tight. The tenderness subsided almost completely. Still a bit swollen. I'll have to take some more pics but the signs of peeling became super obvious as the day went on, especially around my mouth. Wearing a mask in salon probably didn't help and also my skin there moves more when I talk. I'll post more updates in the coming days

It had calmed down a lot after applying products that night & again the next morning. **Note - for those who haven't seen previous posts. I am experiencing Cosmelan Depigmentation treatment. She was actually a big reason I became a beauty therapist 11 years ago. She then trained me in my first classic lash course 10 years ago & we did our first Volume Lash course together in Brisbane with Irina Levchuck who came out from Russia. More recently she decided to head north to expand her horizons.... She developed a beauty salon from start up in Yeppoon. In the 7 years she was there the salon became very successful & it was very rewarding for Kessie. Kessie was the proud award winner two years in a row for the APAA (Beauty Industry) National Award Most Dedicated to Education 2010 & Best New Establishment 2011. Kessie is a qualified Beauty Therapist and Lash Tech she has travelled overseas to study with some Lash masters in Las Vegas.
