25.01.2022 12 months ago, James lost his Elfin oil cap at the 2019 Baskerville Historics. We are pleased to say that our eagle eyed volunteer Allen Wilson uncovered this gem at the base of the esses tyre wall and it will see it's way back to Victoria to rejoin the rest of his 1966 Elfin Monocoque.

24.01.2022 If you are looking for a motorsport fix come along to Baskerville to see the Baskerville 1000. Yes, spectators are welcome! (up to our venue limit of 1000).

21.01.2022 Richard Craill has the right idea...

20.01.2022 We just want to say a huge thank you to our volunteers Graeme Soden, Allen Wilson, Neil Johnson & Kristian Whiteman for their efforts with this morning's concre...ting as we complete another stage of making our food area OH&S compliant and safe. This would not be able with out the fundraising efforts of the Baskerville Foundation and the Baskerville Historics. See more

20.01.2022 How good was it seeing an F1 car at Baskerville! Here's the 1986 Mexican GP winning Benetton B186 lapping Baskerville very rapidly with Josh Kean behind the wheel.

20.01.2022 If you're looking to do some testing at Baskerville, make sure you check out CMI's club day in a few weeks. Good chance to get some competitive track time (y)

16.01.2022 In the absence of this year's event Bruce Smart has created this terrific virtual rendition of historic Tassie 6 cylinder sports sedans. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5_9NY3J8So

16.01.2022 UPDATE The Baskerville Historics Committee would like to provide the following update on the 2021 Baskerville historics. The 2021 dates have been set for September 17th to 19th. The committee have been meeting regularly over the last few months and planning is well underway. As you can imagine there is still a large amount of uncertainty in everything we do in our daily lives, and our event is no different. Our plan is to proceed as normal and provide as much timely and con...cise information as we can. The 2021 event will once again feature Group A and C Touring cars, Early Holdens, small Ford only race for Group N Fords, plus the normal classes we have come accustomed to. Muscle Car Cup will again feature prominently in our event and in an attempt to clarify eligibility for this catagory, a set of class regulations will be finalised and made public before December 2020. Again we will be holding a Friday night function and we are well advanced with finalising our guest speakers. We plan on providing regular updates going forward and as matters of interest are finalised we announce these as quickly as we can. We hope you are all looking as forward to the 2021 event as much as we are in putting it all together. Baskerville Historics Committee

12.01.2022 With the unprecedented events currently gripping our country, the Baskerville Historics Committee wish to announce that the 2020 Baskerville Historics event has unfortunately been cancelled. This is devastating for our small team, but the decision has been made with the support of Heritage Touring Cars Group A & C, the feature category for the 2020 event along with Events Tasmania and our event partners and sponsors. Heritage Touring Cars will return to the 2021 event, making... it a meeting to look forward too. We are hopeful following discussions with the 2 Car Clubs promoting circuit racing at both Symmons Plains and Baskerville, that historic racing cars will have the opportunity to race at both tracks later in the year, we will keep you informed of further developments. We look forward to seeing you at Baskerville in 2021. Peter Killick Chair- Baskerville Historics Race Committee See more

06.01.2022 In the absence of Baskerville Historics why not come along to the Hobart Sporting Car Club open practice day on Friday 28th August? Payment and registration is required in advance - entries close on Monday 24th August.

05.01.2022 From the 2017 Baskerville HIstorics, who can tell us the car and it's iconic history?

03.01.2022 There’s lush grass on the spectator hill at Baskerville - first time in decades it’s been that impressive. It’s perfect for a picnic and/or for the kids to pla...y on while you watch the B1000. Plenty to see with 37 cars and 140 drivers desperate to impress... The hill toilets will be open but you’ll need to visit the pits for a nosebag at the food van. Thanks to relaxed COVID restrictions spectators can enter the pits this time. You register for contact-tracing purposes on entry to the venue. Rosey will be commentating, providing results updates and driver interviews. Gates open 8.30am, action starts at 10am. $5 adults, $10 a carload. Cheap as chips! Come join us tomorrow. And tell/bring your friends! See more

01.01.2022 BACK TO BASKY After 3 months of no motor sports it's great to see a good roll up of great machines at Pepsi Max Baskerville Raceway to kick off some normality ...in these weird times that we live in. Thanks to all that attended for following the social distancing guide lines and for the hundredth time...we are not a Bunnings store so there are limits and thanks for the HSCC for running a good day.
