25.01.2022 The new playground in Apex Park in Wonthaggi has been completed and is ready to explore and enjoy, just in time for the school holidays! The play space is uniqu...e as it draws from the historical significance of the original train station within Apex Park and includes a miniature timber rail track, timber train with carriages, a trestle bridge, a sculpture/crane and more. 23.01.2022 We’re delighted to announce the re-opening of the Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Reserve and Churchill Island from Monday 28 September, in line with the t...hird step of Victoria’s roadmap to recovery which outlines a series of safe, steady, and sustainable steps that will see us all the way to COVID Normal. The three sites will be open daily from Monday 28 September to Sunday 4 October. After this, the Penguin Parade will open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights only, and the Koala Conservation Reserve and Churchill Island will open on weekends only through until the end of October. We’re hoping that our friends in metropolitan Melbourne will be able to enter their third step in late October and join us when we can open the doors of our attractions every day. 20.01.2022 It's R U OK?Day, a reminder that every day is a day to start a conversation that could change a life. Today we're calling on Australians to learn what to say af...ter R U OK? so they can keep the conversation going when someone says they're not OK. There's more to say after R U OK? Learn what to say when listening with an open mind Learn what to say when encouraging action Learn what to say when checking in Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life. When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. Learn what to say next and help us move closer to our vision of a world where we're all connected and are protected from suicide. Head to www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask
