25.01.2022 ITS TIME TO GET HIGH!! A massive shoutout to my good mate and ultra athlete @mangorider as he prepares for his biggest challenge yet! Ben will be cycling not one, not two, but two and a bit Everestings on the bike this coming New Years Eve!! ... Ascending and descending the same hill 65 times until he reaches 20,000m vertical! He is looking to see just how far he can go both physically and mentally. Raising awareness for people with ADHD, and how to change the mindset and current system so as to better support their struggles. Ben has been a huge positive influence on me in developing a stronger and more resilient mindset around the ultra endurance activities I’ve been doing this year. He inspired me to attempt my first Everesting on the bike this year and now I’ll be tackling the 3 Peaks 240km cycling challenge with him in 2021 which I am stoked about!! So I am very excited and proud to be supporting B on his Double Everesting challenge this New Years Eve! If anyone is free and keen to help support B in anyway please send me a DM, we would love your help as he will need all the support he can get- many hands make light work!

21.01.2022 Wild. Wet. Windy. Killy Above Threshold 3 min efforts tonight. Running on fatigued legs from this mornings almost 2 hour strength session! Ouch We are building back up towards my first 100km for @hut2hut in Feb 2021! Only a couple of months away! ... @team__betts and I are fundraising to create more awareness and acceptance for Autism which is what Oscars100 is all about. If you are able to make a donation you’ll be helping us to make a difference for kids living with Autism Link in my bio if you want to support us - every bit helps and is massively appreciated @oscars100
16.01.2022 ATHLETE OF THE MONTH Goes to cyclist Jason @pikkles1k! Yes I am a couple of months behind with these but better late than never :) ... Jason made some big gains in less than 3 months with a whopping 1.1km extra added to his 20 minute time trial on the bike! Not only did he make big gains physically, but mentally he was feeling stronger too His work ethic for both S&C and his cycling programs were bloody unreal - can’t wait to watch him go from strength to strength as he progresses towards his big 2021 goals Well done mate it’s been a pleasure coaching you so far and looking forward to heloibg@you@on@tour@journey in 2021 :)
11.01.2022 ADDUCTORS AND OBLIQUES: We focus a lot on the outside of the hips but sometimes underemphasise the inner thighs and groin. We want to train the adductors to be in balance with all of the outer hip muscles.... Strong adductors aid in hip extension and rotational power and allow you to get into more athletic positions. The Copenhagen plank will specifically target the adductors - we just want to emphasise a solid position: shoulder, hips and knees in one straight line Tuck pelvis under so we flatten out the lower back a little and get the glutes doing more work Press shoulder into ground to prevent hunching towards ear Allow your breathing to engage the abs to a stronger degree and put you in less of an extended position (ribs stacks on pelvis and drop down
