24.01.2022 Another successful Men’s Masters Triples event held at the BassoBowlo over the last couple sundays. Big thank you to Mike from Cork and Bottle for sponsorship of this event. 26 teams battled it out to claim the title. 09.01.2022 With the government announcement on Stage 2 re-opening of certain venues, your Executive Committee met to discuss our future re-opening plans. At this stage... we advise the Bassendean Bowling Club is likely to OPEN in June 2020 (exact date to be confirmed). Whilst some venues may open on 18th May under restrictions, we have decided to wait until more information is available from Bowls WA and renovation projects currently underway are finalised.... Any opening will be subject to government guidelines, future COVID restrictions and therefore may be subject to change. Roll ups can continue as previously advised by contacting the club on 9279 1949 and advising a date / time / no. of people - max 4 per rink. (Open on Wed, Fri & Sat 12-4pm only) All players must adhere to the new hygiene practices of signing the register, sanitising pre & post roll ups, cleaning mats and jacks after use, using allocated green/rinks etc. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the new and improved Basso Bowlo soon. 05.01.2022 WELCOME BACK to the newly refurbished BASSO BOWLO ! Since the Phase 3 State Government announcement on Friday, we have been working overtime to finish renovations and ensure the club can open this Saturday 6th June 2020. In celebration of welcoming everyone back to the club, we will be conducting a game of Winter Pairs bowls from 12.30pm, along with the Club Triples (Plate) Final.... We all have a responsibility to look after each other and do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and future outbreaks. All members and guests are required to observe the following procedures at all times: - If you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms, please DO NOT attend the club; - Sign the attendance register (every time) you visit the club; - Use available seating spread throughout the venue; - Leave furniture where it is positioned (max 4 per table); - Observe the 2sqm rule; - Maintain high levels of personal hygiene by washing hands regularly and using the hand sanitiser provided; - It is now a requirement to be seated whilst drinking alcohol; - Observe the ground markings when purchasing a drink at the bar (1.5m social distance required) - EFTPOS, Credit Card or Members Card payment preferred; - Drinks may be taken out to greens while rolling-up, please continue to observe the 1.5m social distancing requirement; - Comply with directions from Staff and Hygiene Officers (Maree/Shultzy); Executive committee will also be on hand enforcing these new requirements.
