If you're a first time commissioner, $5 can get you: -A short clip of your favourite song done acapella as a Multi-Track video -2 songs you want to see mashed-up (results may vary based on the compatibility of the songs) -A live-looping attempt of a song -A segment of sheet music or a tag you want to see performed -A short clip of a song being sung in another genre of your choosing, or I can choose a new genre for you (or maybe you want to hear a particular genre and don't care which song) Just send us through a message and we'll sort out the payment details.

25.01.2022 If youre free tonight and looking for something to do - Ill be singing at our casual farewell concert before we leave for Hobart. Ill be singing with The Baden Street Singers and my quartet t a g u r s e l f

24.01.2022 Latest commission is done - this one is from the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. Doesn't really have a track name but the game files lable it as "at_tourney03nightwalkuniwalk" so that's what I went with. Definitely a learning experience in making multi-instrumental tracks, but was very fun to make. If you have your own song that you'd like to hear done - shoot me through a message. First commissions are only $5!

23.01.2022 $5 Commissions are up and raring to go If you want to hear a song - any song, covered acapella, shoot me through a message and Ill make one up for you. $5 for your first commission! Enjoy this Gregorian Chant cover of a 90s classic.

22.01.2022 *** EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM *** https://forms.gle/rNfdyXnWZhHYd6Jp8 Number 2 in our exploration of Roles in Spontaneous Covers is Harmony... You may be inclined towards Harmony if you: - Rarely sing along with the Melody of a song, preferring to sing harmonies instead - Enjoy harmonic theory and filling out chords - Don't mind someone else taking the spot-light - Love listening to and dissecting the inner workings of a song - Identify with the video "All I Want For Christmas but only the Alto part"

22.01.2022 "Hey could you do the Glee end credits song but in a minor key?" Im trying to keep myself making recordings all the time - every one so far Ive found a new way to improve it slightly, so churning out as many as possible seems to be the most effective way to get better at it. Also helps with the efficiency of making them - so I know how to do it faster. This one took me roughly 30 minutes last night - from listening to the original, coming up with my arrangement, recording, editing and making the video. Was very fun to be able to imagine something and have it come out pretty much like you imagined it in a short amount of time.

21.01.2022 *** EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM *** https://forms.gle/rNfdyXnWZhHYd6Jp8 I'll be doing a bit of a overview of some of the things involved with the workshop over the next week or so. Starting off - we're looking at all of the different Roles involved with the Process of making a Spontaneous Cover... First up is The Solo You may be inclined towards The Solo if you: - Find yourself singing along with songs on the radio - Love karaoke - Make up words for songs when you forget them - Enjoy being the centre of attention - Listen to a lot of popular music - Love singing for an audience

20.01.2022 Here's my second show, one I was the Director for - and the nights that are still available! Tickets are selling fast, so get in now if you wanna enjoy roughly 45 minutes of sex jokes https://fringeworld.com.au/whats_on/sex-toy-story-fw2021

19.01.2022 Wow, over 100 likes in only a day - thanks so much for all the support everyone! As I mentioned before, Ill be posting about all the different facets in a bit more detail over the next week or so. The intention for most of these is that its unlikely someone will need it right now - but may have need of something like it in the future, so is more letting people know that its available now when they do need it. Bass for Hire... Youve probably seen it happen before at some point. Theres a performance coming up, youve booked yourselves in, all good to go. Then, the unthinkable happens - some unavoidable circumstance and now youre down one crucial member. And finding a replacement short notice isnt going to be easy - particularly if youve got multiple songs that youre performing and not a lot of time to teach someone. Well, thats where I come in. I got the idea because Ive done this exact thing quite a few times now already. They send me the music and within a week were on-stage performing a 45 minute set of songs. And its not just the Bass part either (I just liked the catchy name) - Baritone or Tenor parts are also doable. Depending on the number and complexity of the songs, whether you prefer it being sung off paper or not, any choreography moves to add it or other elements crucial to the group, then the pricing/quotes will vary. But in general, If its within a week I can usually learn all the music to be performed without sheet music if necessary. Whilst this was aimed at smaller groups originally (quartets/octets, backup singing/band singing), I can do the same thing for larger groups that just need some extra bass padding. Anyone whos been in a choir will be able to relate to a lack of basses - so if theres ever an emergency situation where youre severely lacking basses but dont want to cancel a show - then thats where I can help.

18.01.2022 Workshops Ive been running workshops for a couple of years now, both during rehearsals for choirs or at festivals like Dunsborough SongFest and Denmark Festival of Voice. Theres been a pretty wide range of workshops topics, but primarily they are all aimed at the idea of everyone enjoying singing. Whether its exploring how to emote and move on stage while singing, or coming up with music on the spot - I aim to make sure everyone who attends the workshop can walk away with ...an enjoyable experience, regardless of musical ability. So for festivals, choirs, schools, theater groups, even your workplace - if youre looking for something fun and maybe even informative sessions for enjoying music then shoot me through a message.

17.01.2022 Thank so much for the support everyone! Directing I started directing about 5 years ago, with a musical pantomime Snow White and the Seven Deadly Sins with UWA Pantomime Society. After that, I started getting into conducting/directing some of the choirs I was in. Then, I was offered my first directing position with the Nedlands based community choir Close Harmony.... Since then, Ive directed another production The Dot with Modicum Theatre Perth at Fringe, was offered the position of Musical Director with Men Of The West and then Assistant Director for The Baden Street Singers. Its been an incredible journey the last few years, going from almost no knowledge about directing/leading to being in charge of multiple groups. Ive learned so much from each group, and amazing learning experiences like Harmony Academy run by Barbershop Harmony Australia. Since then, Ive had opportunities to work with a number of other groups as a coach or guest director, including Peppermint choir, The Lost Quays and The Curtin Singers (run by Rhythmos Choir). If youre looking for a director for anything, choirs/shows/musicals - Im always looking for more opportunities to get more experience. Or maybe you need someone to cover running a rehearsal for your group. Or maybe youre looking for some coaching for yourself or your singers, either as a one-time or on-going thing. Whether its for learning some new skills, some direction on where to go forward, something new to spark some excitement, or just a fresh pair of eyes - send me a message and well see what we can work out together.

17.01.2022 What up, it's ya boi Rye-Rye, back form the dead I know I haven't posted anything on this page for several years - but I'm hopefully going to try making some more BandLab projects to post here. I have some more up on my profile already - this is my latest one. Frobisher Bay is a song I've loved for ages and just never got around to making a full version myself.... Pretty happy with how this turned out - BandLab is a suprisingly versatile and useful online program for making these kinds of mulit-tracks - and it's relaly easy to collaborate with other singers wherever they are. If you're interested about BandLab and how it works - particularly how to use it to sing together with other people while in quarantine, hit me up and I can give you a good rundown of how it works.

17.01.2022 Hey everyone, Im really excited to release this idea Ive been working on for a while. My idea is to spread the info around so that when someone needs something of this nature in the future, they know they can contact me! 14.01.2022 Beatboxing Ive been casually doing beatboxing and vocal percussion for a while now - but started taking it more seriously a couple of years ago with The Baden Street Singers, doing vocal percussion for a number of their songs. I also met Ross Vegas who was doing the beatboxing for our Fringe Show Acapocalypse. He also sold me his Boomerang looper pedal, which I now use for my voice looping performances, and showed me the basics of beatboxing and looping. I had always been in...spired by mouth sound professionals like Mal Webb music so being able to do try and do the same kinds of things was incredible. So - whether its for a quartet, small group, full sized choir, performance or show - I can provide the beatboxing, along with all my own equipment. For one song or multiple songs, whether you know what youre looking for or want me to make something up for you. Or maybe you want to have some fun with your singers and explore some mouth sounds for a rehearsal. Shoot me through a message and well figure something out.

14.01.2022 So - a preview of the second show I'm involved with Sex Toy Story I was the director for this wonderful and horrifying play - although I do make a small appearance once or twice ;)... 14.01.2022 https://forms.gle/rNfdyXnWZhHYd6Jp8 Ever wanted to try singing a cover of a song on the spot? Want to learn the skills and process behind how to create a multi-part spontaneous acapella arrangement? Want to just try something different out for fun?... I'm still looking for interested singers for a workshop - if this sounds at all interesting to you, make sure to fill out your availability. Once there's enough people interested then we can run a full workshop. It's free as well!

11.01.2022 With a score of 78.8%, The Baden Street Singers are your 2019 Barbershop Harmony Festival / Barbershop Harmony Australia Mixed Chorus Champions! We are so proud of all the work everyone has put in to achieve such a great score!

11.01.2022 Thoroughly exhausted after a full week of singing - got home in the afternoon and immediately fell asleep for a solid few hours. First off, a schools workshop at Trinity College, with The Baden Street Singers and The Newfangled Four where we got to meet the quartet for the first time. We learned a song with the students that we would sing at the upcoming concert as well, Then, a coaching session from Newfangled at our Baden rehearsal, followed by a post-rehearsal pizza hango...ut session. It was amazing to see the quartets reactions to our songs and hear their incredible coaching insight. Then, a 2-hour long individual coaching session from Newfangled with my quartet Tag Urself where we spent about 30 minutes with each of the Four - going over a huge variety of topics about performance, harmony, staging and presence. Definitely a highlight. Then, a choreographing session for Baden for our upcoming barbershop competition. And then it was concert time. Vocal Evolution started off the set, followed by Baden - where we showed off our new song Stars for the first time, sung with wine glasses. Then The Electric Barbercats gave us some numbers before Newfangled finished it all off - including a surprise but welcome encore Rickroll. Then, we hung out with the Four again at the afterglow. Then Sunday morning and its Men Of The West rehearsal - and then a baptism performance with t a g u r s e l f - where we got to try out the tips we learned from the coaching the other day. Then - home time, and a lengthy afternoon nap. Ill endeavour to keep you guys updated in the future about upcoming stuff. For now, keep an eye out for news about Guildford Songfest - Ive got a few things lined up there.

09.01.2022 If you're in the area - Men Of The West will be doing a short 10 minute set at the Power Hour at Yagan Square - starting at 5:00 We'll be on first - and there'll be a host of other talented groups showcasing after us
