25.01.2022 There is a virus targeting Android banking apps in Australia at the moment. You can only get it if you download "Flash Player" from the internet without going through the Play Store. It'll ask you to turn off some security settings in your phone to be able to install it, which is why you never install programs that aren't downloaded through the Play Store. Here is an article that'll give you some instructions about how it works and near the bottom it'll give instructions for you to follow to see if you're infected. 02.01.2022 Just got a call from the "Windows Support Centre" and kept them on the phone for 10 minutes pretending to wait for my PC to turn on. After pretending to follow their instructions for a while I told them that I had a Mac and that windows pop up when I click on the icons, which means that I have Windows... I don't think they were very impressed because they hung up on me after that! The "Windows Support Centre" and other variants on the name are a scam, please don't do anything they tell you! They are after your personal and banking information and actually infect your computer. If you're unsure then please contact a local professional for advice. If you want to have some fun with them then play along for a while without giving them any real information and let us know in this post what you tell them :)
