25.01.2022 #ThoughtfortheDay #BibleinOneYear

23.01.2022 Challenging words for us all: let’s seek true humility & truth, see the BEST in people, not the WORST; have the courage to speak gently TO people with our concerns, not ABOUT them (gossip); be encouraging instead of critical; be a peace- maker instead of stirring up conflict; whilst extending grace and love. Let’s seek serve others even when we are tempted to be self- seeking. Let’s find our joy in Jesus and comfort in God’s Word so this flows out to all we meet. He WILL supply all the needs that no human possibly can.

23.01.2022 It’s been such a tough year for Yr 12 2020. So we are excited to see the launch of our SU Hope Project! Could you help us get the word out? Please tag/ share/ email this link with Year 12 students, parents, teachers, youth leaders and churches. https://sunsw.org.au/hope-project/ Share the hope of Christ with Year 12 students through praying for them through every HSC exam, contributing towards a celebration pack which will be sent to their home and following words of encouragement and hope from the Bible on Facebook and Instagram:) https://sunsw.org.au/hope-project/

22.01.2022 Jesus. The Way. The Truth. The Life. We love Him. He loves us all so much more.

21.01.2022 A special thanks to the BBBC Bushfire Recovery Team for all their hard work all year and in preparing for a wonderful night with our community (not in photos to protect their privacy). Grateful to Rob M, our South Coast bushfire recovery coordinator and Baptist Association for their amazing practical support. Thank you to Steve for bringing the Hope Street coffee van down and for being our barista

20.01.2022 Great news and a wonderful prayer for all of us to pray, believe and rejoice in!

18.01.2022 During a challenging season we may feel like this: But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Cor. 4:7-9 A reflection on serving and leading as we pray and vote on church leadership: The Christian life does not consist in achieving great things for God but in allowing Jesus to use our inadequacy and failure to rehabilitate us to a life experienced as grace and love and obedience. The Christian life is not about leadership but about followship, not about becoming more and more but less and less. Eugene Peterson Less of us and more of Jesus. To serve God and to serve others, following Jesus’ example of servant leadership.

14.01.2022 A friendly reminder to bring your mask, book in with a deacon for 10am church tomorrow! Or please tune into zoom if you’d rather join in from home. We were blessed, challenged and encouraged by God’s Word (Matthew 25) last week and learned more about the wonderful work of Baptist World Aid!

14.01.2022 Did you know that the average item of clothing passes through 100 pairs of hands before it reaches you? That’s why your shopping choices are so important! Learn... to do good and seek justice by making ethical purchasing decisions. Watch the video to find out more. baptistworldaid.org.au/2020-covid-fashion-report/

12.01.2022 Great to see on SBS news tonight the influence of Baptist World Aid’s Ethical Fashion Guide on major chain stores such as Gasson! Their accountability and rating scores often result in a huge improvement in fair wages and treatment of garment workers. https://baptistworldaid.org.au/resou/ethical-fashion-guide/

12.01.2022 This Friday 1pm at Batemans Bay Baptist Church, 1 Tallgums way, Surf Beach we will celebrate the life of our brother in Christ, Gordon O’Neill, who has gone Home. A faithful, humble man of faith it was very much loved by his family and many friends. Rest in peace Gordon. Please arrive early to allow for Covid safe protocols. Places will be reserved for the family, some of whom are travelling from interstate. We will continue to pray for Marj and the family during this time.

11.01.2022 Jesus lived what He taught and so, we Christ- followers are challenged by His uncompromising life of mercy and grace. May we each seek out those He loves who are hungry, thirsty, lonely, sick and in need. May God shine through our acts of love & may His Spirit open opportunities for us all to share Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life. Both incarnational & proclamational ministry.

08.01.2022 A challenge for us all

08.01.2022 Congratulations to a very dear couple, Bob and Jan Wright, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary!

06.01.2022 BaptistCare partnered with the Baptist Churches of NSW/ACT and Batemans Bay Baptist Church, to provide support and relief after the devastating bushfires in Dec...ember. BaptistCare is proud to partner with churches and communities; offering hope to people living with disadvantage. https://baptistcare.org.au

05.01.2022 What a joy to fellowship with brothers and sisters from all over NSW and ACT in person and through regional centres. We were blessed with the opportunity to thank and acknowledge the Baptist Association, Baptist Care, our own BBBC church and many partnering churches for their wonderful & ongoing support in bushfire recovery. Together, under God, we have all been able to reach out in the name of Jesus to our wider community over the last year in a way we never would have imagined before! Just as we see the lush green new growth after fire, let’s all pray that God will lead us into a new season of fresh life and growth in Him. All thanks and glory to God!

05.01.2022 Are you/ do you know a Year 12 student who would be encouraged by our HOPE project? Please share with them: they will be prayed for during exams, receive encouraging videos such as this one and receive a free celebration pack at the end of exams! Thank you so much to those in our church who have supported this by becoming a prayer partner and by donating to the celebration packs!
