24.01.2022 What a beautiful morning our gorgeous Batemans Bay is giving us today
24.01.2022 1st race of the Batemans Bay Paddle Challenge - 26k marathon (reduced to 18k because of conditions) is off and paddling.
23.01.2022 Calling all SUP boarders to register now! This event isnt just for our paddlers but also our SUP boarders! Same distances 6km, 13km and 26km I for one love a good SUP up the Clyde.
23.01.2022 Its hot here in Batemans Bay this afternoon, but not as hot as its going to be tomorrow. Remember, Start Time for the 26km race is now 10:00am. The 13km race ...gets underway at 10:15am, and the 6km race goes off at 10:30am. To avoid what we can of the heat that will come further up river and later in the morning, we are going to be paddling 6km laps, instead of the out and back course. The 6km race will be one lap. The 13km race will be two laps (12km total) The 26km race will be three laps (18km total) Briefing will be at 9:30am. Get your fluids into you for the rest of today, and make sure you bring plenty for tomorrow.

21.01.2022 BYO your drink bottle! This year we will have a water station to keep all our paddlers hydrated. This means there will be no water for sale. We will have drink bottles to handout at check in. #saynotoplastic #keepouroceansclean
21.01.2022 Early Bird entries for the Batemans Bay Paddle Challenge close tonight. Make sure your name is on the list so you dont miss out on all the fun! https://www.web...scorer.com/registerlist?raceid=205153 Note that the weather forecast for the weekend is looking very hot. As such: - Please check your emails from Wednesday, as we may need to start the race EARLIER to avoid high afternoon temperatures. This could be 11:00 or even 10:00am, we will let you know as soon as weve got a clear idea! - Paddlers concerned about the heat should consider entering a shorter distance. We really want to support out south coast friends, but also for everyone to enjoy themselves.
19.01.2022 For those of you interested in the MAKAI Cup course, or the finish anyway! Here is a 9 min clip that will have you riveted and hanging on the edge of your seat ...salivating This is the final 2k of our NORTHERLY course from Sussex Inlet. It gives you a bit of an idea on where you will be heading, and what to keep an eye out for. Sorry about the drop of water on the GoPro but if you watch out of one eye, then its perfect! MAKAI Cup... more than just a race!
17.01.2022 Congratulations to the all hard working team at Makai. Well deserved.

14.01.2022 Think Six is on the NSW South Coast and making a splash. Plenty of positive feedback from a realistic and varied group of paddlers looking for comfort, stabilit...y, and a ski that has plenty of glide with a decent waterline If you find yourself looking for something in that range do yourself a favour and make an educated decision and take one for a spin. Available now for demos @southcoastpaddler #thinkkayaks #thinksix @thinkkayakaus @thinkkayak.global @_thinkfuture #ulladulla #nswsouthcoast See more

12.01.2022 Here is the updated 2020 Marathon Series Calendar, with the Canberra race now taking place on Saturday July 4th.
12.01.2022 Good Morning from Batemans Bay! Just a little update, remember we have a water station this year, #saynotoplasticbottles, so bring along youre water bottle, if you forget dont stress we have you covered with our own bottles donated by ANZ. Remember to bring along some electrolytes as its going to be a hot day! Also this year we wont be able to supply a wash down area due to level 4 water restrictions, but never fear the car wash is just up the road. So come on down bring some slip slop slap, them paddling arms and be ready for a fun day on the water.
12.01.2022 In response to further development of the COVID19 situation, PaddleNSW has decided to suspend events scheduled between now and 31 May 2020. This means that the ...following events will not be proceeding: 21/3/20 State Single Marathon Championships at Windsor 5/4/20 State Double Marathon Chamionships at Lane Cove 3/5/20 Marathon Series Race at Narrabeen 17/5/20 Marathon Series Race at Tacoma 31/5/20 Marathon Series Race at Davistown 9/5/20 Harbour Series Dolls Point Classic (Dolls Point) 17/5/20 Harbour Series Iron Cockatoo (Drummoyne) As a community sporting organisation, we have a responsibility to play our role in limiting the spread and impact of COVID19. Stopping these events is a relatively easy way to reduce the risk of community transmission and the potential consequences for members of our paddling community. We know this decision will be a disappointment to many paddlers, clubs and volunteers. We share that disappointment. Over the next few weeks, we will work with the affected clubs to assess alternative arrangements. We will share that information as early as we can. A more detailed explanation of the rationale behind this decision is available on the PNSW website HERE, and in the letter attached. Please note that the Windsor Marathon State Championship event is postponed.....it is our intention to run this event at a later date, and as soon as possible. We will let you know of the alternative date as soon as we can.
11.01.2022 MAKAI Cup 2020 race day time schedule.... Due to the significant weather event estimated to hit overnight and impact the race course, we have amended our usua...l downwind options to an out and back loop course from Ulladulla Harbour. THIS IS FOR BOTH MAKAI CUP AND Mini MAKAI 10k Due to the EASTERLY (onshore) winds predicted this course will certainly prove the most challenging and enjoyable. MAKAI Cup- Please ensure ALL safety equipment is ready as you will individually be checked as you enter the water. You must have; -PFD -Leash -Flare -Mobile phone with SafeTrx app activated. At this stage, we are looking at a 4x lap course approx 4.5-5km per lap. Both courses will be determined in the morning so we can ensure the safest and most enjoyable race possible. Time schedule attached, however all activities will now be at the MAKAI Marquee on the Ulladulla foreshore. Sleep well and we look forward to seeing you in the morning!!
11.01.2022 Batemans Bay Paddle Challenge will be HOT !!! Forecast temperatures are between 37-39 C. If you want to change your entered distance to something shorter, you n...eed to do so before entries close tonight. Send an email to [email protected] with your request and the change will be made and reflected in an updated start list that will be issued tomorrow. Start Times have already been brought forward by at least one hour in an effort to minimise your exposure as best we can. 26km Start Time - 11:00am 13km Start Time - 11:15am 6km Start Time - 11:30am Heat stress is a very real issue. Be proactive in your management of it for this race.

06.01.2022 On the day when we had hoped to run our State Singles Championships, would anyone like to share a photo of a fab paddling moment from 2019/20? "My moment was p...addling with Laura Lee in the K2 at Marathon Nationals 2019. We felt great in the boat together, paddled our socks off and even nabbed a spot on the national team!" - Naomi J, Marathon Committee See more
