25.01.2022 Week 1 of a 8 week School Hotshots Program at Captain Oldrey Park Netball Courts with Broulee Public School. Over 400 kids today will be challenged learning new skills and having a lot of fun. All around the courts are signs of the devastating fires. However, after the recent rain it doesn't take long to see new growth.

24.01.2022 After all the excitement of learning the news from the Health Minister, Tennis Australia and Tennis NSW that one on one coaching and casual play can re-commence, we are now awaiting approval from Eurobodalla Shire Council. I have sent an email with all details from our Governing bodies and hope our Council with see the benefits of allowing tennis to continue in a modified way.

21.01.2022 Incredibly tough working with so much testing happening right beside the courts. At this stage all Term 3 tennis coaching is going a head until it is no longer safe to continue. This will be monitored on a daily basis.

19.01.2022 Dear Tennis NSW Community, Since 15 May when we saw some easing of restrictions by the State Government in NSW, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank our te...nnis family in acknowledging and implementing the recommended guidelines. We’re also pleased to hear that the resources provided have been well received and that they are assisting you as you have re-opened or plan to re-open your venues and welcome players back to our sport. As you may be aware, further changes are being proposed by the NSW State Government from 1 June. As always, we appreciate that many of you will have questions surrounding what this means for tennis and any possible further changes to the guidelines. Our team are working through this now, together with the State Government and Office of Sport. Our Guidelines are likely to be updated to include the following changes: Clubhouses re-opening, further easing of restrictions to on-court coaching and with the resumption of regional travel, then we would be considering what local and regional tournaments and match play may look like. All of these changes will have to be considered alongside any updates to the Public Health Orders as well. In regards to the resumption of TA sanctioned AR tournaments (AMT’s, JT’s and JDS), until all borders are open and the ranking system can operate freely, there is currently no date for the resumption of these tournaments. We will be communicating shortly on how Tennis NSW intends to provide competitive opportunities for our playing groups in the next week. All of our collective actions in the past few weeks have led us to a point whereby we are able to resume our sport far quicker than what many of us envisaged a month or so ago. 03.01.2022 At this stage Eurobodalla Shire Council, along with other Councils around the State have decided to keep tennis courts closed in the interest of public safety and wellbeing. Although disappointed, I understand this decision is in the best interest of the community. Regulations are constantly changing and I have been informed that our Council will reassess next week. In the mean time please keep your kids active at home. Please comment some of the great ideas you have come up with to keep your kids active. For me, this time off the court is all about my second love, Fishing! (Equal first loves tennis and of course my family) I am so grateful that fishing is still allowed. I will keep you up to date with any changes as they happen. Stay safe! Stay active!
