20.01.2022 Farmer's lunch, this is how we eat new potatoes. Warm salad of new potatoes, spring vegetables and herbs. New potatoes are only available for a couple of weeks of the season and are best simply boiled and bathed in herby butter or vinaigrette.

14.01.2022 Pumpkins that change colour! These are our Argentine pumpkins in April (top) and August (bottom). The green pigment in the skin changes to a lovely orangey-yellow in storage. The flesh is sweet and caramelises well when roasted.

10.01.2022 This week at the market.... Despite the downpour on Monday and Tuesday, we have a terrific selection for this week's market. Greens include Tuscan kale, perpetual spinach, cauliflowers, broccoli, mini cabbages and nettles. Asian vegetables are pak choi, Chinese cabbage, baby daikons and coriander. Salad greens will be our mixed bags of Do-It-Yourself-Salad. Stems and Roots this week are beetroot bunches, fennel, celeriac and parsnips, plus our delicious Argentine Pumpkins. 8am to 12 noon Saturday at Albany Farmers Market Western Australia and Kwoorabup Community Markets Denmark 10am - 2pm Sunday.
