20.01.2022 Fantastic news for all Crown Reserve leaseholders but especially Ag Societies in a year of no shows and almost no income. Most people dont realize that many Show Societys pay rent for their use of Showgrounds and this a very welcome relief. Our association thanks the Government and Minister Pavey for hearing us and acting.

04.01.2022 Some long needed upgrades and repairs are going ahead thanks to even more funding from the state government. The grandstand our association bought and moved from Ashfield in 1892 will be repaired along with remedial work on the 1870s to 1890s pavilions. The showground has received considerable grant funding over the past 9 years, to improve the crown reserve granted to our association in 1878 for an agricultural showground. That and this crucial additional funding is due a lot to the support and work of our local member Paul Toole MP and his colleague Sam Farraway. All this will help to ensure that it can continue to be used to promote agriculture and regional life and production for another 140 years. #bathurstnsw #royalbathurstshow

03.01.2022 Latest Government Health advice.

03.01.2022 VALE - MR R K (RON) WOOD 6/9/1930 - 22/7/2020 The Bathurst Agricultural Horticultural and Pastoral Association notes with great sadness the recent passing of our esteemed Honorary Life Member and association stalwart Mr Ron Wood. Ron served the Society with distinction for 28 years as Secretary from 1969-1997. He also served as Secretary of the Bathurst Harness Racing Club and Bathurst Showground Trust. In addition to his Life Membership, Ron was honoured with the opening of ...the "Ron Wood Stable Complex" (picture). It is impossible to imagine our association, the Royal Bathurst Show, the Showground or indeed Bathurst being the same without the dedicated service of this legend. He was an example to all of us and his advice and support in recent years have especially been welcomed by the current Secretary and Show Council. Our deep condolences go to Rons family especially his sons Brian and Col and granddaughters. They can be certain that his service will long be remembered in our association. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, Ron was remembered in a private service. See more
