24.01.2022 ONLY 2 DAYS TO GO UNTIL THE CENTRAL WEST RINGING FESTIVAL!!!! The best times to come and listen will be Thursday and Friday 2pm - 5pm, Saturday 9am - 12noon and pretty much all day Tuesday. Why not come along for a listen? You might even like it....

24.01.2022 THURSDAY is the big starting day for the Ringing Festival, but there will be a sneak preview on Wednesday starting at about 4.45pm in Bathurst where there will be 2 Quarters rung, one to celebrate the wonderful news of the birth of our first Bathurst bell tower baby, Remy Anne (congratulations Deb Dixon). So why not come along and have a listen. It might be a bit hot, but SOOOOOOOOOOO worth it! And if you dont know what one is......

23.01.2022 Well. It has been a while since I have been in contact, but the Australia and NZ Annual Festival of ringing is coming to the Central West. Starting on March 10 (NEXT WEEK!!!!!!), there will be bells ringing in Lithgow, Bathurst and Orange for 5 whole days. Registrations have closed, but if you want to come along and have a listen or a look, in Bathurst, sit on the Carillon steps. Love to see you there!

20.01.2022 As a sign of respect for the lives lost in Christchurch, New Zealand this week. The Bells were rung Half Muffled. Followed by 50 Tolls - one for each life lost in this tragic event.

20.01.2022 5 Angry Men will be performing (The Bells) at Inland Sea of Sound Festival this weekend. They were curious to see what actually happens in a Bell Tower so came along to our practice night last night.

15.01.2022 The bells will be silent this Wednesday night due to a longer than usual church service, but come along SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER from 10am for a Plethora of Quarters. Lots of fantastic Sydney and Armidale ringers coming out to help the CW ringers achieve their goals of getting more Quarters under their belts. All welcome to come and have a listen and watch for the cheer at the end of every 45 minute session to show its success. If you want to know the more technical details, have a read here.

There are 3 major ringing gigs going on between now and 2016, so nows your chance to come along and have a listen (or even a sneaky lesson if youre lucky!). December 20th - 5.35pm to celebrate Nine Lessons and Carols in the Cathedral... December 25th - 8.30am - CHRISTMAS DAY!!! December 31st - 11.45pm - HAPPY NEW YEAR! New years eve has traditionally been the beginning of our yearly holiday from the tower until the Australia Day ring. So to everyone of every belief.....

Despite the massive amount of complaints made to the Bathurst newspapers etc, the Festival brought tens of thousands of dollars to the area. Always remember that if youre interested in learning, contact the Ringing Master via this FB page or just turn up to the tower from about 6.15pm any Wednesday night (except this one which is Holy Week).

03.01.2022 The bells will be rung half muffled tonight at the conclusion of the Party in the Park. Ringing on half muffled bells is a sign of respect. Tonight it will be for our Fire Fighters and other Emergency Service volunteers who put themselves in harms way to help protect our communities from these unstoppable fires. Lives have been lost, volunteers injured and homes destroyed. Thank you to all involved in this mammoth effort to try to control these fires.
