As of Sunday 15th March 2020, Basketball NSW on the advice of numerous government agencies has decided to CLOSE the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium to all user groups and the general public for a period of 7 days, during which the situation will be reassessed. After very careful deliberation and consultation with numerous government tiers, this precautionary action has been deemed to be in the best interest of the community and all patrons of the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium. Just to clarify, as it stands there have been no confirmed cases in regards to Covid-19 within the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium, this is just a precautionary measure in line with the state health recommendations and the advice from Basketball NSW. If you are wanting to read BNSW recent statement or for more information on their decision, please visit - https://www.bnsw.com.au/covid-19/. The evolving nature of this outbreak has required public health advice to evolve rapidly. For further information, advice and resources on Covid-19 please visit NSW health . The situation will be closely monitored and acted upon accordingly and we will keep you updated as new information comes to hand. We hope that everybody stays safe and follows the recommended hygiene practices provided by health authorities during this time. 18.01.2022 ***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** ALL HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAMES CANCELLED THIS AFTERNOON - Friday 31st JAN 2020. Unfortunately due to the high temperatures today and expected to worsen this afternoon, i have decided to cancel all high school basketball games for today - Friday 31st January 2020. ... With the weather set to hit 39 degrees outside this afternoon, we would be looking at temperatures around 42-43 degrees inside the stadium and i deem this is unsafe for everyone to be playing in. I apologise if this has caused any inconvenience for anyone involved, I have left it as late as possible to make the decision but unfortunately the weather has taken it out of my control. We will resume high school basketball next Friday 7th February.
