24.01.2022 In response to the ongoing Covid19 pandemic, Management of Bathurst Private Hospital have made the difficult decision that Visitors will no longer be allowed at the Hospital. We understand the distress that this may cause some patients and their families but we feel that in the interest of the health and safety of our patients, staff, and VMO's that this decision, however difficult, will protect the hospital environment and allow us to continue to provide healthcare to the community. Please be advised that in certain circumstances, the Director of Nursing reserves the right to grant some exceptions to this directive. Thank you for your understanding.

17.01.2022 I would just like to thank everyone at the Bathurst Private for taking such good care of Tay and myself over the past few days. From dropping the form in to Nicci, who organised a fast track date, to Danita, Deanna, Em, Simone and Pete who made Tay feel at ease before her procedure and took care of her during, the recovery staff Christine and Colette who cared for her when she came out, very worse for wear, Nicci for checking on Tay constantly, giving her a hand to hold. A hu...ge thank you to the ward staff who have shown such concern and care for us. - Sally, Robyn, Helen, Paula, Sophie and all the others who have helped. Everything you have done and the level of care you have shown, not only to Tay but myself, has been outstanding and truly appreciated. To Mother Genny, Di and Jenny, thank you for our meals and for making sure we were comfortable. Thanks Rose for the very needed hugs and support and Kristin for checking on and offering support. Huge thanks also to Liz at Panorama Orthopaedics for getting it all sorted and a Huge Huge thank you to the most amazing surgeon Dr Lachie Host. As usual your efforts before, during and after the procedure has been amazing and we truly appreciate all your efforts. Jase, and Myself honestly can't express how thankful we are to everyone at the hospital for helping get our girl back in action. It has been a little journey with a few curve balls and hurdles thrown at us but you have all got onto it quickly and smoothed it all out. 15.01.2022 In response to the announcement today by the federal government in regards to elective surgeries. Please be advised that we need to await advice from our surgeons in regards to which of our patients fall within the updated criteria. Please be patient with our staff. We will be in contact once our lists are confirmed. If you have any questions in regards to your classification level please contact your surgeons rooms. Please advise your surgeons rooms if you wish to cancel any booked surgery and they can rebook your surgery and advise the hospital. Above all else if you are unwell, been in contact with anyone that has tested positive to COVID19 or been in contact with anyone that has returned from other countries PLEASE let us know. The wellbeing of our patients and staff is of paramount importance to all of us.

13.01.2022 We welcome the loosening of restrictions on elective surgeries by the federal government as this increases the number of patients we have the ability to help. As a healthcare organisation we take our responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of our staff, Medical Officers, patients, families and allied health professionals seriously. This is why we have made the decision to continue to screen all admissions, continue restrictions on visitors and ensure that we take into consideration all applicable co morbidities of our patients. Please be patient as we work through waiting lists, operating sessions, social distancing requirements and staffing.
