20.01.2022 Bathurst Archers have received the following advice from Archery Australia regarding the 3-month Membership Extension due to the COVID-19 pandemic & club closures. Bathurst Archers Inc have agreed to the 3-month Membership Extension according to the policy below. Archery Australia has been working with all RGB’s and the Clubs across Australia to try and support all members by issuing a three-month extension to your membership during these uncertain times. As a member automa...tically joins a club, an RGB and Archery Australia at the same time, in order for this to happen all three organisations (AA, RGB and Club) are required to agree to an extension. So far all RGB’s have agreed to the three-month extension and over 70 Clubs have agreed, therefore meaning that over 5,000 members will receive this extension this week and we’re hopeful the remaining Clubs will want to be involved over the next week or two. Archery Australia would like to thank all the clubs and the RGB’s for their assistance with this process and the membership extension, it’s incredibly appreciated! Although the RGB’s and Archery Australia are actively encouraging all clubs to accept a three-month extension, if a club chooses not to go down this route then we will be unable to provide the members of that club with a three-month membership extension. Three-month Extension: * All members that were financial as of the 1st April 2020, will receive a three-month extension to their membership. Eg. If your current membership expiry date is the 30/06/20, it would now become 30/09/20 * This will be constantly reviewed in consultation with the RGB’s and the Clubs. * Further information can be found at (content blocked by Facebook) * Once Archery Operations resume, a new membership card will be issued with your updated Expiry Date * A list of Clubs that have so far signed up can be found at (content blocked by Facebook) * Any queries please don’t hesitate to contact us ([email protected])

15.01.2022 Unfortunately, the Bathurst Archers Committee has decided that we must cancel the Bathurst Archery Festival 2020 which was scheduled for 29/30 August due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 restrictions. Currently the NSW Government has a limit on 20 people gathering for outdoor events & indoor gatherings are still not allowed. There is only 10 weeks to the scheduled date & we can’t make any plans with Traditional Archery Australia & Maydaan Archery Club Australia to ...do any of the demonstrations & displays, let alone plan for a shoot using the Field Course. However, we are planning to hold the Bathurst Archery Festival in 2021, tentatively scheduled for 28/29 August, with the unique 2D/3D dinosaur & target archery combination that was planned for this year. So please understand that this is beyond our control & we look forward to seeing everyone in 2021! Steve Olive President Bathurst Archers Inc

14.01.2022 We have had an online Committee Meeting regarding the opening of the Club this weekend as COVID-19 Restrictions & Guidelines are relaxed. I have copy & pasted the full email from Archery NSW received today below regarding the current situation & they recommend not opening the Club yet. This was put to a Committee vote & the majority of Committee Members voted to keep the club closed & review this situation again next week. I hope you all realise this is a difficult decision ...to make but we must protect Committee Members & Club Members from any risk of liability when opening the Club. Archery Australia & Archery NSW have both stated that the Club, Committee Members & Club Members will not be protected by insurance if anything goes wrong or if fines are issued for breaching the NSW State Government Guidelines. As such the Bathurst Archers Inc will remain closed for all archery activities until further notice. Steve Olive President Bathurst Archers Inc Archery NSW Email to All Clubs is Copied in Full Below Dear ANSW members, I hope your families are all well and staying safe. Please read the Archery NSW board of management opinions below regarding the resumption of archery. Archery NSW Position on Resumption of Archery Archery NSW continues to monitor government advice regarding the resumption of archery. While NSW Health Guidelines encourage sporting clubs and organisations to continue to allow people to exercise, these activities must adhere to the Public Health Orders including public gatherings of no more than two people. If an archery club reopens at this stage, even with restrictions, fines may be applied for breaches of Public Health Orders. Based on the advice of NSW Health, Archery NSW does not support the reopening of NSW archery clubs at this stage. Individual clubs have the right to decide if and when they reopen, regardless of the Archery Australia and Archery NSW position. We encourage clubs to review Government guidelines and consider the safety of their archers and contact their local Council for advice, before making such decisions. Failure to comply with both the latest State and Federal Government Guidelines surrounding COVID-19 will have implications on the insurance coverage provided by Archery Australia and may leave clubs and archers liable to government penalties. Please read more regarding clubs reopening guidelines on our website. CLICK HERE TO VIEW GUIDELINES - https://archerynsw.org.au/archery-nsw-position-on-resumpti/
