25.01.2022 Which song will win?!

21.01.2022 As musicians, we all get our inspirations from different places, for example Tony (our fearless drummer) gets his from Phil Collins and chocolate - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHtEyDrD4oA

20.01.2022 Big Dave back on the harmonica- showing the crowd how it's done!

19.01.2022 It seems like corona virus is taking it's toll on everyone. Your fave band hasn't been able to do gigs lately because our rising popularity has put us in breach of the governments "no crowds of 500 people or more" policy. Have no fear- we have been practicing and will be announcing some new gigs soon!

19.01.2022 Greetings All!! We are back in business practicing some new tunes and getting ready for when we are allowed to do some live gigs again. Hopefully will have some dates to announce soon. If you have a Christmas party or any other celebrations coming up - you know where to find us!! #getmonkd

13.01.2022 When you’re born in Liverpool most people expect you to have music in your soul. When you explain to them it’s Liverpool in Western Sydney, those expectations drop dramatically. Yes, someone forgot to tell Andrew Lotherington that it’s well known band lore if you really want to make it as a star, don’t pick the bass (which explains why he isn’t going anywhere fast). Better known as Lothers, this Monk Member rocks some tunes on the bass while belting out some lyrics (and the...y are occasionally right). When not jamming with the other Monks, Lothers is a journalist and an avid reader. I love reading biographies about musicians such as Anthony Kiedis or Ray Davies, he said. I got into music because there was always music playing at home and on family car trips, plus I really loved music lessons at school. If he didn’t have to work, Lothers would be travelling the world taking in the sights of Egypt, the UK or Finland. His top three bands are The Beatles, Crowded House and The Kinks and he loves ripping out a red-hot version of Green Day’s Basket Case. See more

11.01.2022 Some red hot tips here that we will definitely take on board!

10.01.2022 After compiling the votes, it's officially- a TIE!!! The Anthem and Don't Change both took out 40% of the votes so the Monks will be busy adding these to the list of cracking hits on offer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=desJKYvdq9A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBhUTAQN3Nk

10.01.2022 A romantically rocking night was had by all at Mudgee Brewery on Friday night! A big thanks to Gary, Deb and the team for having us- we will definitely be back!

04.01.2022 Some people are born blessed with natural talent. Well enough about those people, instead let’s meet Dr Brian Anthony Hope, or Tony for short. A product of the 60’s (explains a lot), Tony is the man who bangs the drums, sings the songs and keeps the other Monks under control. Tony said his connection with music came from his family. Dad’s mum played classical piano and mum’s mum was a honkey tonk freak. It’s just always been something that we do. Tony is also known as Hope...y or Old Man Whore, which is a long story but one definitely worth hearing because it’s probably not the reason you’re thinking. This Bathurst boy is married with four amazing kids (we haven’t been paid to say that) and is employed as a Spatial Guy (seriously do these guys even have real jobs?). Hopey’s top three bands are Foo Fighters, Green Day and The Living End which all feature in the Three Eyed Monks set list, while the song that really gets his blood pumping is The Offspring’s The Kids Aren’t Alright. When he isn’t working or being yelled at by his neighbours to keep it down, Hopey is happy to sit back and watch some sport or take a trip to Canada or the Maldives.
