23.01.2022 Do you have a spot that looks suspicious? Have you been meaning to get it checked? Make sure to pay a visit to Bathurst Skin Cancer & Cosmedical Clinic on Durham Street. Their staff specialises in the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer and want to remind you that it is just as important to get a skin cancer check in these cooler months! In fact, it is actually one of the best times to do it! As most people are covered up during the winter m...onths, this minimises sun exposure to skin lesions and moles. Sun exposure can cause a mole to transform slightly which can make a normal mole appear suspect. This year only, their team have diagnosed 11 melanoma so make sure to give them a call and book in for a skin check up. You do not need a referral and will get a Medicare rebate for the appointment. P.s. Dont forget to slip, slop, slap all year round!

12.01.2022 BATHURST BUSINESSES NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW MORE THAN EVER. The current Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a number of restrictions in the way we go about our daily lives. Many of these restrictions have heavily impacted small businesses, however there are still things we can do to keep the local economy moving. As members of our community, we all have a part to play in supporting our local businesses through this very challenging time and to help protect local jobs and our eco...nomy. You can show your support in the following ways: 1) Order takeaway or home delivery : Many local restaurants or cafes have changed their business model to now offer these options. 2) Buy gift cards : Buying a gift card immediately injects funds into the business which you can use at a later date. 3) Shop online with local businesses. 4) Use credit or debit cards : This reduces the chance of infection through germs on paper money. 5) Stay home if youre sick : Dont put other Bathurst residents and workers at risk. 6) Be patient : Items may not be available right away with supply distribution problems and people shopping more frequently. 7) Say thank you : A simple but overlooked courtesy in todays modern world. It can be easy to forget that many employees are working overtime to keep their store clean and full of the food and supplies customers need. By sticking together as a community, we can reduce the impact of Covid-19 and help Bathurst recover quickly once we have beaten this pandemic. For more information on ways to support Small Businesses click on the link below: www.bathurstbusinesshub.com.au #openforbusinessbutdifferently #letssupportlocalbusinesses
