08.01.2022 2019 BAHPA SPRING HORSE SHOW CANCELLED Bathurst AH&PA regretably announces that due to matters outside of our control relating to our licence to use the Bathurs...t Showground we have had to cancel our upcoming 2019 Spring Horse Show scheduled for the 5-6th October 2019. The Central Western APSB Spring Show scheduled to be held on the 6th October 2019 is also cancelled. The Bathurst AH&PA operates under a Licence Agreement issued by the Bathurst Showground Land Manager under the Crown Lands Act which they have sought to vary. Unfortunately the notice and details provided have been insufficient for our association to confidently continue to undertake the management of a cross discipline and complex equestrian activity in under 4 weeks. At present this only affects the 2019 Spring Horse Shows all other activities are not affected by this decision. We will be contacting key stakeholders shortly to update them. The Bathurst AH&PA were originally granted the use of the land upon which they formed the Bathurst Showground in 1878. We have continuously operated on and worked to develop the grounds for 141 years. John announced his intention to retire from the role after the 2018 Royal Bathurst Show. Richard has tremendous experience in the Equestrian Sections of Agricultural Shows.
