22.01.2022 UPDATE: The Bathurst RSL Club Half Marathon & 10km has been cancelled for 2020. Following a meeting of the Bathurst RSL Club Half Marathon & 10km committee it has been decided that with the growing seriousness and challenges of the global pandemic that COVID-19 presents we are unable to guarantee a memorable experience for all competitors, while doing so in a safe and supportive environment. We have been closely following advice and guidelines from state and federal health au...thorities and it is clear that this would be compromised if we were to proceed in 2020. Running is important to us all, however, your safety is paramount and has been at front of mind in guiding our decision making process in these difficult times. For those who have entered our event, you will have already received an email detailing how you will receive a full refund for the cost of your entry. You do not need to do anything for this to occur. Please refer to your email for further details. Rest assured, we know that you are here as you like to run and we would like you to still run with us in 2020! Planning is currently underway for a new and exciting way for us to remain connected through our running. While details are not yet final, this will be safe, light hearted, inclusive and in the spirit of running for enjoyment. Details will be shared here, so please keep watching. Run safe. 21.01.2022 Perfect running conditions forecast for today! Can’t wait for the start! (And the BBQ!)

21.01.2022 Life is pretty challenging right now everything is being cancelled, postponed or closing. We could all do with some fun and something to look forward to. Whilst we can no longer hold our physical event, we thought we would create a challenge that will carry on through the year to lighten our mood and keep the community inspired to keep running. Our challenge won’t be a race. There will be no fee to participate. Small prizes will be given, but not for the fastest. We will reward those who exemplify the fun and spirit of the challenges. These challenges will have elements which are quirky in spirit of the Barkley Marathons just nowhere near as hard, and you won’t receive a letter of condolence. Watch this space for more news ......

As news headlines continue to be dominated by the COVID-19 outbreak, we understand that there are many concerns for your family, loved ones and friends in these rapidly changing times. In particular, many of you will have seen the significant number of running events whose organisers are making difficult decisions in relation to their own events. These decisions are never easy given most ev...ents are run by few people who often have much at stake. Here at the Bathurst RSL Club Half Marathon & 10km we know that you like to run. We always aim to deliver a safe and enjoyable event. In this light, we will be meeting shortly to discuss our 2020 event. In the continuing spirit of giving you something that you didn't realise you needed, our next Bathurst RSL Club Half Marathon & 10km running Sunday is coming around soon - Sunday 07 June to be exact. This time we want you to run wearing what will show others what you do when you are not running. That's right - this is all about the "tools of your trade".... Proof of your run details, along with a photo that demonstrates your profession are what is required to be in the running for a special prize. The judges will look favourably on creativeness, wackiness and having a go. So get thinking, design your outfit and get ready. So we are monitoring the constantly evolving situation around COVID-19, reviewing daily updates and advice provided by state and federal health authorities, as well as limits on organised gatherings.... Currently, we are planning for our event to go ahead. But we do know that in these rapidly changing times there are potential health impacts for everyone involved. To ensure we deliver a quality running event and provide a great experience for all participants, volunteers and spectators we will continue to assess the situation in relation to COVID-19 over the coming weeks and communicate any changes as soon as they become available to us.
