03.01.2022 At the Lit today. Council's very own Robyn Harvey teamed up with Emma Murray to bring the 2019 Our Table - a taste of our region long lunch to Batlow Literary Institute. The pair rounded up the likes of Batlow's very own Trent Harvey of Masterchef fame, Laura Fraumeni and the Cafe Nest crew and Helle and Heather of Johansen Wines to create a phenomenal gastronomic experience that was second to none. The perfect way to showcase Snowy Valleys' finest produce.

02.01.2022 Sunday's View Club film afternoon was a great success as a social gathering and excellent quality screening of Bruce Beresford's Ladies in Black. Short film was a nostalgic glimpse back to the Apple Blossom Festival of 1964, showing Batlow at that time, the street parade shenanigans and the crowning of the Apple Blossom Princess at the Ball held here at the Literary Institute. Very formal with all the dignitaries and lovely gowns! Wonderful afternoon tea provided by View Cl...ub members and many attendees sat upstairs cosy in the balcony. Take note - this venue is there for other community groups to use. See Robert at the Library for any enquiries.
