20.01.2022 Demand on big edges but yet keep it light weight! Standard story. Tried a new trick of tucking in the edges on the spine side about 5mm each on both sides. From the front it looks like a narrow bat but face is standard width. With the edges rolled in it looks awesome. I cant think of any downsides! Tell you what very tricky to fix it on the vise!

19.01.2022 I had the privilege of organising the 53rd annual encounter between DFAT vs the diplomatic community cricket match (Muttukumaru trophy) represented under the Royal Commonwealth Society! Huge thanks to Sri Lankan high commission for leading the charge supported by several high commissions, Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Singapore.

18.01.2022 Got an almost brand new bat GN Giant bat for weight reduction and rebalance! never seen that kind of profile! The shoulders are twice the thickness of a normal bat! Not well balanced so changing it to a normal profile! will post the finished bat soon

18.01.2022 Getting ready to make some bats during the next few weeks! Had a sore back so took it easy last week. Repaired a lovely GN bat by grafting part of the toe, come up a treat!

16.01.2022 I make bats using English willow grown in Australia supplied by WillowBlue! Its the same species Salix Alba grown in England but these are grown in Victoria! Yes it may look a bit different but performs pretty well and its resilient too! Considering the new bat prices are edging towards $1k, its time for players to give a fair go to locally grown and harvested timber! I’ve been repairing fair few expensive bats which are almost new but with huge cracks! Some are almost split from toe to shoulder!

04.01.2022 A client of mine showed me this and asked me to checknif they are real grains! I had to peel off the toe guard which revealed the real grains! You be the judge

03.01.2022 Making another bat for a 14 yr old but already 5.9! Its an adult size bat. Poor father spent $900 for two bats in the last six month both bats are cracked from bottom to top! Hope my bat will last few seasons?? Lets see! Its weighing 2.68lbs now with out binding, grip and stickers but it might weigh under 2.9lbs when finished!
