13.01.2022 Meet Gertie, This little filly came into our lives a few years ago. She was a rescue foal that we had picked up alongside her mother who we have since re homed. Gertie was very Malnourished, full of worms and not at all into humans as she was unhandled and still drinking from her mother they were both in very poor condition. Gertie was given the royal treatment over the next few months and weaned from her mother. Gertie made best friends with Dolly so there was no way we were... going to split them up. Gertie has been around lots of other animals and people and has also spent alot of time at my Grandpas house looking after show jumpers and doing what she loves best eating. Gertie is still with us at Battanya Stud and we adore her. I have added some before and after pictures of her and her transformation she is a beautiful and very pretty girl. See more

04.01.2022 A little story on our beloved Dolly Dolly came into our lives in December of 2017, she has settled in well since coming to Battanya Stud and will live out the rest of her days with us. (She is one that we won't be rehoming). We are unsure of her age as she was abandoned by her previous owners as they didn't want her anymore so we took her in to live out her days with us. Dolly is a huge part of our family and has settled in well with all the other Ponies and Quarter Hors...es grazing with them daily, aswell as being a great companion to our sheep, goats and dogs here at the stud. Dolly loves people and will follow you wherever you go, she would walk inside and lay by the fire if we let her. Dolly loves her treats especially her carrots, she also loves a good mix of pellets, chaff and molasses. Below are some photos of our beautiful paint shetland mare named Dolly. See more
