22.01.2022 Our state's renewable energy race just received a wind-assisted boost with a massive turbine-farm creating 200 jobs. It comes as West Australians are warned of a power price hike set to be the biggest in the country.
10.01.2022 NECA launches the Women in Electrical Trades Roadmap Earlier today NECA launched the Women in Electrical Trades Roadmap with Senator the Honourable Mic...haelia Cash, (Minister for Small and Family Business, Minister for Training), Mr Ian Goodenough MP (Member for Moore, Western Australia), and NECA National CEO Suresh Manickam - at the NECA College of Electrical Training Joondalup Campus. The Women in Electrical Trades Roadmap is a national initiative supported by the Australian Federal Government aimed at increasing recruitment and retention of women in the electrical trades. This initiative was developed in consultation with employers, apprentices, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Government Training Organisation (GTOs). Increasing the number of women in the trades is a complex issue, but not unresolvable, said Suresh Manickam. Unfortunately, parents and young women do not have a good understanding of the electrical trades. This leads to a poor perception of the electrical trades among parents this is something that we all need to change. We need to get into schools much earlier. We need to inform young women and their parents that an electrical trade is just as rewarding as going to university and with no HECS debt. What was once considered a dirty trade is now a clean trade and well-paid." Read the full story and commentary from NECA National's CEO http://bit.ly/2LhQdT4

07.01.2022 An example of bad installation practices. Isolator under the array cause the damage to the panel. If there ever is an isolator failure rather than just causing damage to the isolator it can take out a whole panel or even a whole system.
