17.01.2022 Lovely to work on a Jaguar XK150 this morning - the predecessor to the E-Type. Two batteries - one behind each front wheel, so wire wheels off to change batteries. Must have been a cunning plan from the designer to keep the batteries washed as you drive. Slightly older than me, but in MUCH better condition. :-(

14.01.2022 We're very excited to be able to say "congratulations" to Mitch Downie, who has opened Battery Business Brookvale. Mitch is a fully qualified mechanic and auto-electrician, as well as a race car builder, and his new shop has plenty of parking and room to work on very large vehicles inside if needs be. He'll be open 7 days a week

14.01.2022 Myall "walked the walk" at the weekend, getting his Pathfinder full of water, mud etc. To his relief, though, we've just picked up a job lot of Escape Buddy rescue tracks (see 4th image) and Myall is the first customer for them. These are heavy duty, 121 by 25cm, and for sale at $120 a pair - that's under half their RRP. An ideal Xmas present for Myall (from himself), or anyone else who has an unhealthy interest in getting muddy. 05.01.2022 Clive gets to work on his dream car. 1972 Jaguar E-type V12 manual in black with tan upholstery. Convertible with hard top. Automotive perfection. One of only 20 commemorative models made, the only one in Australia, 22,000 miles since new. Traditional black battery fitted to keep things looking authentic, but special battery internals to provide the power to start a very serious engine! Delightful.

03.01.2022 Fun to help with an empty battery that had to be frozen in a block of ice for a promotional video. Now it has thawed out, the owner can get us to fill it with electrolyte ready for use!
