25.01.2022 At the half way point of my 10 week cutting cycle and so far I couldn’t be happier with the results. In just 5 weeks i have shredded 5.8% bodyfat which is over 20% of my body’s total fat!! With work and running my pt business ive had to improvise my days to fit my own training in which has included using my lunch breaks to workout on some days. 5 weeks left to shred the other 6-7% required to achieve target!!

21.01.2022 being back in the gym for the last 28 days after having a full year off from any training i’m starting to regain my old body back. 19.01.2022 Workout Wednesday GIVE THIS WORKOUT A TRY!! (pull day) back, biceps and traps the technique used here is a but different to what you might see most people do in the gym its called consistent tension training. the idea here is that you minimise your range of motion during the movement to keep the muscle your working under a constant state of contraction throughout the reps (in other words no locking out of your joints and no dropping the weight to a full extension). ... - it gives a better contraction on the worked muscles - promotes a stronger muscle/mind connection - gives more solid pumps through blood flow -helps push past a plateau -increases strength and endurance for an added tip use a thumb over grip on the weight you are lifting and squeeze as hard as you can throughout the reps it will promote grip strength and forearm strength at the same time Enjoy

14.01.2022 Did something a bit different for a PT session today with Jimbo and took him for a hike on one of the harder beginner trails i visit with clients. Pack marching/hiking is something i have incorporated into my routine’s for years. Getting fit and staying fit isnt just about pushing yourself physically, your mental fortitude plays an immense role in how far you can evolve yourself. Hiking/pack marching can help you realise that your physical limits are dictated more by your th...oughts than by your body. Once you have broken past that mental barrier for yourself and realised you actually can keep going thats when all your limitations start to disappear

09.01.2022 a good workout example if your goal is to drop body fat while trying not to sacrifice your hard earned gains at the same time. instead of a steady state 5 minu...te warm up at 5/10 exertion try a 90 second initial warm up then finish the rest of your 5 minutes doing 30 second intervals at 9/10 followed by 30 seconds at 5/10, by doing this you put your body in an anerobic state which means you'll burn more calories throughout your training session. as for lifting weights - the key is to utilise compound exercises as much as possible instead of isolation exercises. And lastly throw in some HIIT, FARTLAK or Tabata training for 10-15 minutes at the end of the session instead of steady state cardio so your body will continue to burn energy for hours after you finish your session.

04.01.2022 Sunday funday hiking session this morning with Jimbo. We did a 5km today and managed to increase our average pace per km by 45 seconds compared to last weeks session which is a huge improvement

02.01.2022 Workout Wednesday GIVE THIS WORKOUT A TRY Leg day this workout is a perfect balance of 2 exercises each that will punish the quads, hamstring and calves forcing them to grow.... technique - select a weight that allows you to perform 10-12 reps using a range of motion that keeps constant tension on the muscle group being worked. For beginner lifters start with 3 sets per exercise and as you become more confident build up to 5 sets per exercise.
