08.01.2022 2020 Battle of the ROCK Bands Statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19) The organizing committee of the 2020 Battle of the ROCK Bands acknowledges that we currently face a challenging situation in terms of the health of our broader community. We are seeking and taking advice from the appropriate authorities in terms of the operation of this event in September this year. Based on current advise the planning for the Battle of the ROCK Bands will proceed yet the certainty of the eve...nt is also unknown. Any advice we receive will be communicated broadly across our media networks. 02.01.2022 2020 Battle of the Rock Bands Press Release 31 July 2020 It is with a heavy heart and regret that the planning committee wish to announce that the 2020 Battle of the Rock Bands event planned for September 17 and 18 will not go ahead. This decision has not been made lightly and was based on advice from Qld Health and Brisbane Catholic Education Policies, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. ... The committee would like to thank the wider Clairvaux MacKillop College community for their support in the initial planning stages of the event. We are also indebted to the many sponsors and judges for their invaluable assistance in the event staging. Our best wishes are forwarded to the many talented musicians and tutors who have rehearsed their pieces in anticipation of performing in 2020, and we hope to see many of you in 2021. To the graduating musicians of 2020 we wish you good luck in your futures. We hope to see you all in 2021 when we stage the event on Sept 16 and 17. Yours in Rock, Tim Hondroudakis and John Daly
