24.01.2022 As you may remember this January I went through a successful arthroscopic rotator cuff repair on my right shoulder. Its been close to 8 months since the op and life has been quite challenging working around this injury. There's still limitations on my arm and right side that affects me from my feet up. I'm slightly lopsided when I lift as the weakness in the right is still there. I can't sleep on my right side unless propped with a pillow, my shoulder clicks excessively an...d I cannot lay it out flat in on my stomach sleeping. Now the things I CAN do are phenominal. I can load up my shoulders and back with 95 kilos I can deadlift 140kg I can press 57.5 kilos overhead I am functional in all movements, and learning many new skills to achieve the additional movements. I moved over to CrossFit 4 months post op and I haven't looked back. I am also now a level 1 trainer and the skills and knowledge I have gained has given me more tools to improve my limitations and kick the shit out of my achievements I'm here to be the best version of me, to pass my knowledge onto you because anything is possible. In doing so I'm creating my lasting legacy for health and wellness, my love and passion to help others be their best versions is what inspires me to test and push my limits - because I'm not a settler! 15.01.2022 Throw back Thursday... when this grl got ripped and strong... a lot of expectations going on in my life 2 years ago and now I'm learning to enjoy the journey.. having sugery really makes you reflect and get perspective. Whilst this achievement drives me because I was so dedicated and disciplined it doesn't own me anymore, its no longer an obsession and I'm grateful for finally being in control and not hating myself for being unable to maintain this physique. #selflove #innerhappiness #smilemore #trainhard #bekind

07.01.2022 Portion sizes. Some of you have asked well how much should I eat? As specifically its a huge individual question. Whilst I can't give you a meal plan here's a lunch idea. Sweet chilli tofu with fried rice... 100g raw sweet chilli tofu 40g raw brown basmati rice 150 raw mixed veg Splash of tamari. If you dont like tofu replace with 100g of lean meat, fish or eggs. This is roughly 400 cals. Normally I'd eat 2 serves of rice (80g raw) on maintenance calories. As I'm 'cutting' now, I don't add any extra fats, and I've held that second rice portion. Dinner will look similar to this, plus I've had my super smoothie breakfast, 2 slices of toast and post workout oats and fruit. Believe it or not I'm still hungry #always Dont let your body starve. Fill it with clean nutritious foods and at least 3 litres of water a day. #knowyourworth
