19.01.2022 MEET THE EXEC #3 ~ YASH! Introducing our lovely Volunteer Engagement Director Yash, who is also a 2nd year Biomedical Engineering student! What do you study and what’s your favourite subject so far?... I’m a second year biomedical engineering student and so far I would have to say my fave subject was my biotech unit because I got to mess about with fancy lab equipment. What makes you fall asleep the fastest? Definitely ASMR videos! Lately, I've been binge watching ASMR roleplays to replace the lack of a human touch during lockdown (jk) but mostly because they're super soothing and fun to watch. If you could have dinner with any celeb who would you pick and why? I would say Gordon Ramsay because I wouldn't normally be able to afford dinner at one of his restaurants, so this would be the perfect opportunity to taste some of his delicious cooking and harass him for some culinary tips :))

12.01.2022 batyr@usyd are getting behind Liptember! We ask some amazing women to tell us what makes them most passionate about women’s mental health Meet the beautiful Alissa @alissanicolaidis (Instagram) ... I'm passionate about women's mental health because as a woman, I've had my own mental health struggles dismissed as being 'bitchy' or 'moody'. I have learned over the years that it's normal to have these struggles and I don't want others to feel like they shouldn't be heard. I want to advocate for mental health and bring awareness to this through my work. #Liptember #LiptemberTogether

It’s unbelievable to me how prevalent postpartum depression, eating disorders and domestic and sexual violence is, and thus it’s so important for campaigns like Liptember to exist to spread awareness and remind women that there is support and information out there. #Liptember #LiptemberTogether

03.01.2022 September is almost wrapping up! Make sure you take part in @liptember and don’t miss out!

02.01.2022 Our amazing Volunteer Director Yash tells us why she’s passionate about Liptember! "’Women are more likely to be impacted by mental ill health than men, and less likely to seek help.' The above is what drives my passion to raise awareness about female mental heath issues and fight for affordable gender-specific treatment. Having struggled with my mental health in the past, I know that it's something no one should have to go through alone and my privilege as an able-bodie...d cisgender woman contributed significantly to the reason why I felt confident in seeking and being able to receive proper care. Sooo while we wait for the healthcare industry to step up and do their thang, I'm here to remind my ladies out there that you're all strong, gorgeous individuals. Pop on a bright lippie and rock your look with a smile! xx " #Liptember #LiptemberTogether
