19.01.2022 Looking to give a gift this year with impact? Think about donating to batyr on behalf of someone! @batyraus have just launched their fist Christmas Fundraising Appeal!Suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia, and that’s why batyr exists. After a tough year, the risk to youth mental health is higher than ever and we know that shame and stigma stop young people from reaching out for support when they need it most. All funds raised will help batyr continue running our programs in early intervention, so we can educate and empower young people now, and prevent the impact of mental-ill health in the future We know this year has been tough for so many financially, so we really appreciate the support! You can donate here: https://bit.ly/2VucwLz

12.01.2022 Tips on how to start the conversation if you aren’t feeling mentally healthy from the @batyraus Normalise Mental Health campaign! Choose a person who you trust a family member, a friend, a teacher, a GP, a coach. Choose a time when you know the person you are reaching out to doesn’t have to rush off and a place that is comfortable to chat. Remember that the person you are opening up to cares about you. Be completely honest with how you are feeling. Don’t exp...ect them to have all the answers. Be kind to yourself! Reaching out and being vulnerable shows a huge strength of character. If you didn’t get the response you’d hoped for, reach out to someone else and keep trying until you get the support you need. Stay connected. Our friends over at R U OK? Have some incredible tips on how to start the conversation! Head over to their account @ruokday to find out more See more

11.01.2022 It's so important to acknowledge the courage in your own resilience! In a year that has delivered all sorts of challenges, it takes a special type of courage to keep going when things are hard, to keep trying when it might feel scary! And when things haven't gone your way, know you can always try again tomorrow. illustration: @laurajaneillustrations
